This has been a screwed up summer, my lawn is ordinarily brown by mid-august (due to a lack of rain) but instead it’s as green as the English countryside[IMG]

We're expecting lows tonight in the upper 40s

    blt's are fantastic.

so are low pressure fronts so long as he transition back to high pressure isn't too violent.

I like weather though (interesting weather, not nevada weather)

Let's not jump to hasty conclusions about this graph. Think about what will happen as a giant lump of ice melts into the sea. It will splinter off and spread out, and in the winter when it freezes up again, it could very well cover a larger thinner area.

I could be talking out of my ass though, as I say I'm a clitamologist.

You might be right, it has been a particularly cold summer this year. Maybe the gulf stream has already been shut down as a result of the fresh ice water that has already melted into the Atlantic, and next year the sea might freeze around Iceland.

    You just never know.

    Not quite yet.

Erm, because it passes right by the UK.
The UK has a stake in Rapid Watch.

Maybe, but I think the likelyhood is, it is still flowing albeit more slowly.
Why do you think it has shut down? What evidence have got?

I just think it's possible, or as you say maybe it's just flowing slower.

There is evidence to suggest it has slowed.
No evidence at all to say it has stopped.
