Agreed, but it is a matter of deciding objectively the world, and subjectively it's description or explanations.
I never noticed this before, but Eve lied to Satan. She said, " and neither shall you touch the tree". God never said anything about touching. Genesis 3 Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?” 2 The woman said to the serpent, “We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, 3 but God did say, ‘You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.’”
We are not told how Eve cam e to know anything about the tree so we cannot say she lied. We are not told what she was or was not told. She could just as easily been telling the truth. Perhaps Adam played that phone game and just added something on to what God had said. That is more likely. Regards DL
I agree. That was not the issue. The source of the information ways. It does not really effect the flow of the story. Done with this. Regards DL
It indicates that the Tree of Knowledge was allowed to be touched. It did have a use, but it wasn't there to be abused. Genesis 4:1 tells exactly what the tree of knowledge is. (young's literal translation)
In the myth, God admits that Eve was fooled. It did not stop him from ultimately murdering her along with Adam through neglect and locking away what would save then. The tree of life. You should check your facts before stating them. Gen 3 13 And the Lord God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat. 14 And the Lord God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, Regards DL
You lost me on this one and I have no idea what you are saying. If you think Adam gave birth to Eve then you are a fool and I cannot help you. I hope that is not what you said. Regards DL
Forumrules forbid to post under a different account in the same thread. Not sure what's preventing people from doing so though
Sure beats dying, --- and what toil does one need do when one can live forever after eating of the tree of life? No toil required. Regards DL
