We can only be offended where offense is taken and it depends not so much on the offering. If we judge against we will feel judged even though we may not in fact be judged. Self denial leads to confusion and probably why you have been led to a guess.

I think this tack could use some attention.

We have only one attraction which is the desire for good. The money changers take this offering and converts it to shekels at the insistence of the priests that only they are worthy to purchase the blood or earnest offering. They are a den of robbers and thieves and impostor to gods blessing.

That same impostor has entered the holy relationship between men and made them appear to each other unlike themselves. That is you hear the words I will change I promise when someone sets a bar, a variable exchange rate, to surmount to qualify for their affection.
If you knew what you were doing you would not choose mammon but we have been taught profoundly that there is a price to pay for salvation and it is a hard lesson to root out.
Do not judge whether someone is worthy of god's peace or your blessing the measure you give is the measure you receive.

 

The law works on debt and credit. People are indebted, they are in sin. Forgive us our debts. Hell is debt. Heaven is credit.

We are not here to bargain for our lives. You live, be assured. For every action there is an equal and complementary reaction plainly. The measure you give is the measure you receive. If you extend mercy you have it and find it in you to extend as you have asked god it be granted you.
