I answered this a few pages back- - When my son was 2 1/2 yrs old - my house was burning to the ground. A NJ fireman, smashed the B/R window and went into the pitch black ,smoked filled house to find and rescue my kid. With an airpak on his back, he found him on the floor of his room- picked him up and passed him thru the window to another fireman who started CPR and life saving procedures immediately. Do to thier efforts my son spent 3 days in the hospital (smoke inhalation-no burns, , and today is healthy as can be. These guys,,,,,my friends ,are true hero,s!:grouphug: Someone that is not afraid what others think> Someone that stands up to helps others when no one else will Someone that is afraid, but faces their fears, true courage is not, not being afraid, but rather doing what you are afraid of (for someone elses benefit) Someone that saves other peoples' lives such as, doctors, firefighters, >soldiers,(I seen some things overseas that I wont get into- but actions that absolutely define the word hero )- I only wish I could tell you I was one of them* * I like sports and music and innovators of all kinds , but sometimes people think of these people as heros ,they are influential in our lives for sure, but I think that "hero" might just be the wrong word. - Sure those type of people may have changed our lives, and our thinking.. but maybe I just have a different concept of a hero** JJack
