Who is masticating right now?

Just chewing on my Twix bar.

 

About an hour ago was chewing on my fish 'n chips and pickled onions.

 

I will have my fish and chips on my beach later. No pickled onions for me though.

 

These ones (pickled onions) are 'spicy hot' - luverly grub !!!

 

No thanks. Occasionally mushy peas.

 

Even though I've eaten a large plate of fish 'n chips, with two pieces of fish and a large pile of chips, I'm still peckish !!! - gonna have to go raid my fridge or cupboards to see what else I can munch.

 

Ok you can be chief mastercater.

 

Hmmmm- cheese biscuits and some Stilton cheese, washed down with a glass or three of Port.

 

Later maybe.

I have masticated plenty today.

 

i masticated so much my gums are raw.

 

I masticated another banana this evening.

 

This scene from the movie Tampopo scandalized Japan where they can't get enough graphic violence, but sex is a taboo subject. Its a great movie for anyone interested. They have much higher food safety standards when it comes to eggs, because they eat them raw all the time. Rice with a little shaved fish and a raw egg is their version of breakfast cereal.

I’m suddenly reminded of an episode of the X-Files in which Mulder and the town sheriff are at a cemetery looking for signs of Vampiric activity;


Mulder goes “ Historically cemeteries were thought to be a haven for vampires as are castles, catacombs, and swamps.” What we’re looking for is a faint groaning coming from under the earth,
the sound of manducation (The act of chewing) – of the creature eating its own death shroud.
