something i can't see, but can sense within everything and all things. the intelligence that is attached to the universe as well as being the universe all at once. just my conclusion.
In that case, I know the One True Faith! Discordianism! Specifically claims to be wrong! Therefor it must be right! Heck, that logic even fits perfectly into the theme of the religion. Spooky.
Just because you've never met an honest man does not mean one does not exist or that he would be hard to recognize when you found him but one thing is certain and that is he would not tell you he is a liar. Likewise just because we are surrounded by bogus human belief systems does not mean that there isn't one that is correct and if we do not let the bogus human belief systems convince that there is no correct one, then the correct one should be easy to recognize when you find it but it is certain that it would not tell you that it is the wrong one.
All the systems are essentially wrong, since neither of them can represent the whole - unless, of course, they are simple local systems for small specific purposes, but this is not the case, I think, with what you call belief systems. In fact, this is a well-known theological problem. So if it says it is wrong, it is at least partially right and honest, and we should be very much thankful for that. It reminds me of many saints who called themselves the greatest sinners on Earth. The same goes for honest people. Only a very shallow person can be absolutely honest.
Yet we may see these things: And continue to breath just fine. Who is it that sees these things, who says, look, look at the evil? So you will n make the world better by not allowing murderers, rapists, and child molesters to walk freely among us? The world is redeemed through forgiveness.
This is jibberish. You cannot "recognize" what you are unfamiliar with. Where is your model for honest man if you have never met one? This is why people kill prophets, because they think that they are the judge of righteousness. So an honest man would say he is without sin?
well, I believe God is part of everything...God is ultimately the condition that controls everything... he/she is nature... scientifically speaking if you break down any substance in the world it eventually becomes the same, the world is composed of tiny particles aranged in a different way, this is God, or Nature... it flows through, it becomes part of us, it is the grass, the tree, the cat, the car, the man, the woman it is Nature and everything has a kind of simbiotic spirit with each other, it flows and rolls in balance forever, we are no more than what eveything is.
darkness and space. in other words, "the void." everything comes from nothing (void) and, returns to nothing (void.) want to call the void "god" go a head. i don't though. most offen the term i use is: "the primeval darkness." but, feel free, to use whatever term is best suited for you.
The Golden Ratio, Phi or 1.6180339887....... This to me is like the signature of the creator. It is in the Double Helix structure of DNA, the seed patterns on a Sunflower, the spacing and positioning of tree limbs, The spacing of growth rings, Fractal Geometry, The overtone series of sound, The spacing of planetary orbits, the structure of the universe etc. It's right there in the numbers. It is too common to be a random occurence. This is what we all have in common. Peace Out, Rev J
What you say may be true of mathematical systems but when speaking of theological systems since no such flaw exists. As such a complex "right" theological system can exist. Okay but shouldn't we be looking for the one that is right, rather than the one that is only partly right? Saying that they are wrong makes them wrong and not the one that that is right. Yes, the saints freely admitted they were sinners, that they had done wrong but they did not say at the same time that their theological system was wrong. Also it is said of the founder of Christianity that he was sinless. So only liars are "deep"?
Yes, what is your point? Are you going to try and tell me that these things don't exist? Not my job. You know very what the world is redeemed through, so why do you deny it?
Kind of the pot calling the kettle black aren't you? Where is my model for honest man? I would say Jesus. Maybe that is why you would kill the prophets but I have no interest in killing anyone. You are supposed to believe in the Christ, was he an honest man? Was he without sin?
Let he who is blameless cast the first stone. Forgive and you will be forgiven. Do not forgive and you are not forgiven.
Really hadn't occurred to me. What do you know of Jesus? But you think you are the arbiter of righteousness. Actually this thread is what is God to you. I didn't realize it was come and we will tell you what you are supposed to believe. I never met Jesus that I know of, I couldn't tell you. I know the things he said were true by virtue of their demonstration in practice.
