I found this place for the first time when I was about 15.. :&

 

I didnt get a computer or internet access until I was 27.....what kind of american am I?

 

Depends.. when was the first time you had a hamburger?

 

the internet didn't even exist yet when i was 27. the first kits to build your own computer were showing up in popular electronics along about then. ohio scientific and mits/altair, and later imsi. it would be another three and a half years before there would be a machine you could buy in a store for what an average working person could afford. the first trasher 80s, comodore pets, ti99s, osi's c1p. and they didn't come with os's, just line number basic in rom. and no drives. you had to use an audio casset to save and load anything.

i used to fantacise about stuff like this internet and autocad and mmo's. and people thought i was nuts to even immagine there ever would be such things.
