Hey, you just reminded me...what a beautiful song that would make for a funeral..."There are places I remember all my life, though some have changed...Some for better, not forever, some have gone but some remain...all these places have their moments, with lovers and friends I still can recall...some are dead and some are living, but in my life, I loved them all" (hope I remembered it right) I'll go and look it up.
wow, i have a list... - GN'R- Don't Cry -Beatles-Here comes the sun -The Doors-Touch Me -3 Doors Down-When I'm Gone -John Lennon-Imagine -GN'R- Sweet Child O' Mine -Janis Joplin-Piece of my heart -The Doors-Hello, I love you Don't fear death, u only die once, you dont wanna miss it.
Fire:The Ohio Players (cremation,if the hogs don't eat me first,is where my corpse shall end.Too messed up for science!)
It's Only Rock & Roll - the Rolling Stones hey what can I say? There's gonna be lots and lots of alcohol at this funeral.
I don't want a typical sad bunch of people in a church funeral, a death should also represent a celebration of life, not just a death. I want to be creamated, and spread wherever it is I decided was my favorite place to be by the end of my life. Starting off with Do you realize by the flaming lips. Then O Death by Ralph Stanley. Steal my Body Home - Beck then immediatly after Free Four - Pink Floyd Our House - Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young (My mom and I used to sing this all the time when we were younger, if she's still around when I go, I want her to think back to those days) Tears in Heaven... I know it's the most common, but damn it's the best and worst to hear at a funeral. One Step Beyond - Madness (of course) Then end with a single scruffy voice singing a modified version of Bob Dylan's Meet me in the Morning, with "6th and wabasha" replacing "56th and wabasha" 56 and wabasha doesn't exist.... but 6 and wabasha does, and it's in my home state. If people decide to go their, they'll be greeted by large red letters spelling out "I LOVE YOU"
