Im not sure I have a good answer for that, but Ill have a go; We get a lot of Irish and British comedies etc down here in NZ (Father Ted!!!) and I guess my picture of an Irish guy is one who is very very witty but quite small and pasty (which I find quite cute anyway) and generally a nice guy, not macho. I know this has to be a dreadful stereotype...but what you gonna do. And European accents in general are a lot less nasal than Aussie, NZ and US ones, which can be exotic to those who are surrounded by nasal accents all the time, like myself. So there you go ;p
Ha yeah, the kiwi accent isn't exactly known for it's exotic beauty...There's something about "sweet as, she'll be right" that seems a little at odds to exotic glamour but meh. anyway, my favourite accent -well, i can't say why but like many people here I melt for a touch of the Irish...most UK accents are great too.
I think TV has a lot to answer for in terms of accents which are 'hot or not' and the only remotely Canadian thing I remember watching was Terence and Philip on South Park So I don't know a lot about Canadian accents, only that you guys get very offended when you get mixed up with Americans (much like us with the Aussies)
Yeah our men aren't exactly suave, are they (They'd do us proud at a beer-funnel competition though)? And most NZ girls would rather die before they even wore a bikini on its own, boardies to cover those healthy NZ thighs please!!!! Hehe
Russian, Scottish, French, Irish, English, Aussie, NZ, Canadian, Dutch, German, & Hungarian are all very sexy IMO.
I like the Bulgarian, Romanian and Russian accents. But there are so many languagues and every one of them can sounds well... it depends from the attitude!
I like the simple Western accent, which is considered the standard of all U.S. accents. However, I don't like the subtle rural "twang" that you can hear just east and just west of the Rockies. That is the rural areas that stretch from West Texas up into East Montana, as well as that rural stretch between Arizona up into Idaho. In addition, I really don't like that stuck-up materialistic "Valley-Girl" tone, that seems to have infected every superficial prissy girl from coast to coast. Also, the disembodied alienated tones of business people West or East is a total blank. Otherwise, the friendly, accent of our Out-West inspired idealism is my favorite accent.
Im assuming we mean best dialect or accent - when speaking english. Not to be biased (but I am I guess) I like the regional dialect from Inverness or even Edinborough. Scotlands versions of the 'Queens English' so to speak. Northern Ireland is not so bad, similar to Canadian versions. Amusing ones - Geordies win that one hands down. I can listen to them say anything and it makes me smile inside. Newfies (Canadian Maritimes) always make me smile too. I do find Russian Accents (speaking english) are very interesting and same with other Eastern Euros speaking english. French Canadian women speaking english has to be the sexiest damm thing on the planet - I cant explain why but it just is. The very worst versions of english - Aussies.. especially the hardcore Brisbane sort of Accent just start pushing my tolerance level through the roof after a few minutes or so. Kiwi is not much better imo. Possibly even worse is an American regional dialect that is from somewhere in the South. I keep being told by Americans its a 'Belle of the South' accent (not sure what that means exactly) but it does seem that its women who really turn up the horrifying aspects of it. Its like an American 'western' accent but imagine it cranked up on crack and then made as annoying as humanly possible. Ugh. I dont care much for that 'Valley Girl' accent (noted in previous post) and it was co-opted all the way up to Vancouver even. My personal favourite is a sort of Central Canadian Ontario Accent which, if you know comedian Norm McDonald is quite amusing for some reason. I noticed that he lost it the longer he has lived in the USA but his earlier stuff (SNL Anchor) really shines through. Its not remarkable other than it just makes me laugh for some reason and I like the pace or something.
. I have to say German, or Alsace -northern france, So anyone from around there Belgium, Holland, Denmark. If I'm at a coffee shop and I overhear it, I'm like I try to memorize the sound. You know, like if you see a really hot butt and you can't help and try to memorize it like it's going to be on the test later tonight. .
yes a nice german accent is nice too. I had a friend from germany, I wanted to fuck him every time he spoke
