Yah I dislike the format as well, the nested replies structure is difficult for me to follow, then throw in some arrows going opposite directions and slash commands in the titles or some shit and immeadiately I feel like Im having to learn how to navigate webpages again. I'm sure it's fairly straightforward if you get into it but on the surface, it's a rather daunting user interface.
Where every thread starts off with.... "I'm not gay, but ......Hey, $20 is 3 packets of cigarettes or 5 burritos"
mainly http://www.furaffinity.net/user/themnax/ that's where you'll find my 'art' (world concept illustrations. yah its on a furry gallery. because i like the comment system and furrys look better then humans) there's a bunch of other places around the net, but none of them i'm as active on as that one and here. there's a train sim forum but i don't think i've posted anything there yet. there's a local furry board where i live. then there's all the political petitions i get in my e-mail. some of them have sites. oh, and there's my youtube channel too https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCxzvYe8NgCWBiIVUOoIZpsw
Does anyone else roll their eyes when they read the comments section on Facebook is in fact, a forum? Or is there a whole forum on Facebook I haven't found yet? Lol.
i "roll my eyes" whenever anyone mentions facebook or twitter. mundaneness is for twits, and twitter, is at least, appropriately named. a book of faces sounds like something out of a gothic horror story, not high on my list of favorite genres.
fb...I regularly participate on the local Lost & Found Pet site, and also follow an animal adoption/rescue site. I keep up with relatives that otherwise would still know MUCH about me and me know nothing about them. At least through fb, I'm able to see them as they "really" are. I have some very good friends that don't live here in this local area and I enjoy using fb to keep up with and talk to them. Then there is a sadistic part of me especially enjoys knowing my (local) relatives can see how "far gone" I've become in how I think if they were to ever read my discussions with my best friend/soul sister that lives in Oregon. Its my way of "keeping everybody in the loop". lol I also enjoy following the news (as in official local and nation wide) on fb. Yeah, Reddit is a bit intimidating to me. Initially my son recommended it to me but I'm like meh about it. I want to be able to easily find what I want rather than endlessly scrolling and clicking and still wondering WTH! When I've gone there, trying to navigate that site and find what I was looking for, it was just too damn much...especially since I have this place down pat. There is a soap opera forum I used to go to regularly but I became not simply disenchanted with the soaps but Totally Fucking Put Out Disenchanted. So...I go there and read the spoilers about once a month. lol
A place called YellowBullet. Great tech on every aspect of drag and most other types of racing. All tech areas moderated by some of the best in their field. Huge active community. And an unmoderated area that's developed into a free-for-all covering anything you can imagine. It's internet crack.
Couple of NASCAR sites, one I've been a member of since 2002. Couple of Muscle Car sites and a Bass Guitar forum.
