    Saturday 17 July:
I went to Lantana Airport and stopped by the flight school to put more money on my account so I can go flying with a friend tomorrow. I went in barefoot and hung around the office for a while, chatting. (I also am barefoot when I go flying. It feels great!)

Then I drove farther south to Coconut Creek (near Ft. Lauderdale) to play disc golf at Tradewinds Park. I ran into the end of the league doubles round that had started at 3:00. All my old buddies were there from when I used to go down regularly to play league games. Several of them came around to say hi as I sat at the picnic table, and looked under the table, and came up and said, "Yup, still no shoes on!" and smiled and laughed about it with me. I just gave a thumbs up and said, "Always!" :)

    Blue skies,
    -Jeffrey

I went to the local Blockbuster and got movies.
Then, I went to Wal-Mart and got my sister and I some goodies.(candy)
And then I went out walking some more.
I don't drive, so I walk barefoot everywhere.

I was running a little late, so when we got to the gas station yesterday I went inside without shoes to buy cigarettes. There was no "NSNSNS" sign on the door so there was no problem. Didn't put shoes on until I got to work.

    Sunday July 18:

I went back to the flight school where I rent the plane and met my friend from work and his wife. I rented a Cessna 172 and the three of us went flying. I had flipflops on at first, mostly because the pavement on the airport gets hot in the sun. Once I checked out the plane (preflight check) and we got in, I took off my flipflops because I always fly barefoot. It's great! My hands are on the yoke and the throttle, and my feet are on the rudder/brake pedals, and because I'm barefoot I have really fine control over them. And just like it is legal to drive barefoot everywhere, the FAA regulations don't say there is any requirement for footwear for pilots! Sweet!

After we landed, I drove down again to play more disc golf barefoot, since there was plenty of daylight left. There's a guy down there who sells discs out of his van. He just got married to this really hot strawberry blonde chick -- they each have two kids from previous marriages, but she's still in her twenties, for sure. I am dying to see how cute her bare feet are, but she's always wearing sneakers!! Somehow we were talking about playing barefoot, and she told me that she wants to, but that her husband told her she's not allowed to! I joked with her that she does not seem like the type who would let her husband tell her she can't do something. We both laughed. She said that he said it's because of the fire ants that bite you around Florida. I told her I don't have a major problem with them. You just have to watch so you don't step on their mounds. I realllly want to see this girl's feet. If they're half as cute as the rest of her... :p they'll be thin and freckled and pink and delicious!

    Blue skies,
    -Jeffrey

that's pretty cool - earlier today i was just wondering what it would be like going to an public event barefoot. I wonder if it would be acceptable going to a sporting event barefoot, if you got to baseball gave your in the ballpark but your outside.

were the people you went with barefoot also?

Nobody at any outside music concerts or baseball games really care what you wear, I mean ive seen alot of worse things at both places than bare feet, so youre probably ok. I just figure unless I step on their foot then my barefootedness is none of their business, of course I dont go barefoot yet because I havent got the urge to do it yet, still trying to be able to go shirtless places, grrr.

Today was an awesome day for barefooting! I wore my Tevas to work today, since it was "casual Friday," which I hadn't done before since we're not supposed to wear sandals...but nobody said a word, and I kicked them off under my desk and actually went barefoot around the office the rest of the day. Then, on the way home, I stopped at a gas station and pumped gas barefoot, then stopped at Kmart to pick up some shorts and ran in without anyone stopping me, and then went to the grocery store and after that went into Starbucks to get a pound of coffee...all barefoot. There was even a cute girl in line behind me at Starbucks who told me, "I think it's so cool when guys go barefoot." Made my day, and you should see how dirty my soles are now! All in all, a great day!

I hope you didn't pass up an opportunity to tell her, "And I think it's cool when girls go barefoot, so you should go barefoot and I'll go barefoot and we'll be going barefoot together! C'mon, let's see you get barefoot!" Say it with a smile, and it might be a successful flirtation that gets something started! :D I've done random stuff like that and it's paid off sometimes. It'll never be 100% success rate, but at least it's trying, and it's practice for the next time, too!

But glad you had a fun barefoot day. :)

    Blue skies,
    -Jeffrey

I jogged gently on pavement barefoot for about a half hour then walked in wet sand and watched a beautiful sunset.

Incidentally, playing frisbee or basketball barefoot on pavement or cement is a good way to toughen up the soles. It makes the arches flex and toes grasp. All that movement really toughens the soles and makes your feet muscular. :)

I haven't gone anywhere barefoot yet today, but soon I am going to put up peace flyers around the town.

Wish me luck. (so we can touch some peoples hearts with advertisements not selling anything)
