Went to lunch yesterday at Applebees. I had on capris and a tank so I am sure the Hostess noticed. I have been there barefoot before and never any problems.

I did my usual pre- and after-office barefooting yesterday, and on the way home, as I boarded the bus, I saw the driver making some signs, prompting me to take out my earphones - and I thought "uh-oh, here goes... first public transport anti-barefooting remark...?"... but no, he just warned me to take a seat in the front rows, since near the back exit someone had puked on the floor. I gladly obliged, grateful for the driver's considerate remark. He warned every passenger that got on, too, so that it wasn't an exclusive warning for the barefoot passenger alone.

    Wiggling puke-free bare toes,

I was all over barefoot only when I put my shoes on did my feet feel funny.. Went hiking barefoot and dont seem to have the backaches I do with shoe/boot rock traveling. I could actually feel my way much better.. (but true footers already knew that..

One month barefoot today! went to campus, a discount store, and for the first time a pawn shop. I was surprised at how barefoot friendly pawn shops are. maybe they are used to people coming in barefoot. Im also going to try the laundry mat later on this afternoon.

I was watching the manchester 10k today and saw a guy running the race in barefeet. Wondered if it was anyone that posts on here?

I just returned home from my usual barefoot Sunday stroll... although it was a little different, since it's now 11.15 pm - so I want for a barefoot walk in the park in the dark :) (funny, that kind of echoes a pun line from Priscilla: "just what this country needs - a cock in a frock on a rock" :smilielol5:).

Since my favourite park lacks lighting, it is a quite dark place after sunset - even though there is no real dark in an urban area... however, this time the walk felt different than my usual barefoot walks in broad daylight, since dew had fallen on the grass already, making the barefooting on grass part a both refreshing and relaxing experience. After walking on the grass for a while, I went to the back part of the park, facing the western horrizon, where a thin crescent moon (just beginning to wax) was seen, with Venus shining brightly a little below to its right... That was framed on the bottom by a dark semi-circle of trees. Feeling the dew beneath my soles and smelling the fresh evening air, I pondered about shedding my clothes and lying down nude in the dewy grass to fully feel Mother Earth's dew-kiss on me... sadly, that idea got cut short by a female voice whispiering from the dark "There's someone there...!!" and a nervous male chuckle answering from the same direction. It seems, that a couple had chosen a secluded spot to celebrate their personal rite of spring just tonight. I smiled and slowly left the place... and energized and relaxed enough to get back into the machine tomorrow morning, I turned my barefoot steps homewards, where I can be skyclad all the time (and of course am, right now, too).

    Wiggling dew-kissed toes,

Iowa, it is really nice that you are doing your experiment. Others (like Jaime) have been before us but it is soo much fun knowing that if you have no shoes you have no choice. I had to do town hall on Friday to pay property taxes. Got lots of looks but so what? Couldn't be helped, really.

Acrylic, you too are having fun and you are right, it is amazing how quickly barefoot walking becomes no problem comfort wise (physically or psych-wise). Def keep leaving shoes in your closet (unless you threw them out).

Just wanted to give support since your exploits help me to go for it too....

Yesterday I went barefoot on a walk at about 9:30 in the morning. Beautiful. I was going to go to the mall barefoot to check what the music vendor had for me, but my dad came with, so I put on flip-flops. In addition, I went barefoot all around the parks and rec areas my friends to which my friends and I went. (Flip flops are silly for physical activity. :p )

So I stayed the night at my buddy's house, and this morning we (my buddy, my buddy's cousin, and me) went barefoot to the school playground next door and messed around for about an hour. I went home and did some productive stuff, then went barefoot outside to the park to play catch with my dad. I proceeded to do a copious amount of review for the enriched pre-calculus final coming up soon. But I was barefoot in the warm spring air, listening to Stravinsky's Rite of Spring and headbanging/drumming to the intense parts, so it ended up being a pretty good time. :D

My friends and I plotted to go into a store together barefoot and buy a pair of flip-flops, only to not put them on when we walk out. I'm feeling very brave so far this season; I think I'll be able to go barefoot WAAYYY more than last summer because I've really started to realize that people like me when I act most like myself, rather than when I'm all closed up and nervous. So along with my thoughts being out in the open, my toes will follow.

Gardening center for plants, hardware store for lite bulbs and a new hose (killed the old one this winter with the snowblower) and wineshop to fortify for yard and house chores which were also all done barefoot.

Both seem admirable efforts unless the washing machine is dead and sox in shower is a replacement.

To a mall and the Sears attached to it, to a thrift store, to the park, and on a walk around my neighborhood.

I'm blazing some trails this year. \,,/(-.-)\,,/

Ugh, 54 deg F and raining is not fun barefoot. But like everything else, if you have no shoes and you have to go out, you have to go out. It's not gonna kill me but warm days are so much nicer.

hi there, that was probably me

sorry i'm not from this forum, i was just googling to see if i could find any pics of myself (being needy I guess). Was a good day and I had lots of people either pointing at me or offering words of encouragement. Hopefully I inspired a few people or made them think again about wearing big thick padded trainers. The sea of white shoes was actually a little painful to look at.

The road wasn't the best, but thankfully the gutters and yellow lines were nice to run on.

I'm interested in stuff like crossfit and movnat (which got me started with going barefoot)
