Rock and Roll is only dead if you believe it to be. There are many sorts of Rock and Roll. Some people have different opinions. If you believe the commercial rock and roll is dead, believe so if you must but with what i've got and what i've been listening to and hearing Rock isn't dead. Especially if you believe its not.
Right on, there's so many different kinds of rock 'n roll indeed. The only reason you would think it's dead is because you don't like none of those. Actually it's not about believing, I think, when there are so many bands proving otherwise. If a person keeps focussing on the mainstream channels or tries looking in different sources and gets dissappointed at first (because there just is alot of shit out there as well of course) I can imagine it looks like the days of real rock are over. But even if 90% of today's rock would be considered shit it still is far from dead cause with all the shitload of today's bands 10% of good rock is still enough to keep me convinced otherwise. But yeah, you have to find it first and yes then you still have to like it as well. Perhaps to some rock is dead but it seems to me it's a personal issue and not reality.
Its not dead its just ill. There are alot of people out there that still rock. Just look at that playing for change video.
i'm pretty sure in the mid to late 70s. . after that all that i do really listen to is punk... which is not rock and roll... i can't really identify any rock & roll after that.
Sure the grandfathers have stopped and slowed. But it doesn't mean that there aren't any good rock and rollers. Just don't look at the commercial bands, heaven sakes. =]
If it were only the grandfathers who were still playing it would be dead to me. No disrespect ment but in order to view it as alive it has to be made by a new people of course. I also still associate rock 'n roll with young(er) performers and energy. Not with grey-haired people who I admire but are old and often losing the magic they were known for.
I currently have about 1000 albums on my MP3 so I dont think I have any problems with that :cheers2::hat:
no!!!! how can rock'n roll be dead with bands like Tool around? it's just an evil rumour Rock'n Roll lives!!! LONG LIVE ROCK'N ROLL!!!
