mmm my favorite is sandalwood oil... i also wear patchouli and sometimes ylang ylang i try to stick to essential oils~~ plus my hair smells like nag champa quite often since i burn it constantly also
Ditto that. Other ladies, please keep folks like us in mind when you put your smelly stuff on! One sure-fire way to ruin my day is to have some girl who thinks every needs to smell her snazzy new perfume sit anywhere near me in some big lecture class (particularly if she shows up after most of the other seats are taken). That, of course, means of an hour of excruciating migraine for me, yippee! A while back, visiting upstate New York, I tried to go into a trendy downtown club... Unfortunately, it was after the smoking ban went into effect. As much as cigarettes stink, at least they drown out the reek of 50 women competing to have the best perfume!!!
I wear Yves St laurent Baby Doll, I bought it in Paris right before left, but the smell always reminds me of Amsterdam, since we went there next. I also have Flowers by Kenzo, it reminds me of Paris too, because I couldn't choose between it or Baby Doll... but my sis gave it to me for my birthday. I have Hugo Woman and Velocity from Mary Kay. I don't wear them often, but use them for special occasions mostly, so they last a long time. I usually wear oils, like nag champa or sandalwood or patchuli lavender to work. I just like to smell good! I love to use patchuli or nag soap and it seems like that sticks with you all day.
Add me to the list of women getting migraines due to strong perfumes! I'm the same...I can't stand anything that's too smelly,so I don't go near perfumes. I make my own with natural oils and even then,I use it sparingly.
mm, I'm kind of different - I love smellies I wear Addict if i'm going out at night, but usually I just wear white musk too from the Body Shop and don't worry - i only use a little
i wear this oil stuff called "Egyptian Goddess"...it smells SOOO freakin good, but not too strong...kinda earthy, but kinda sweet and mellow...its awesome
I am the Queen of sinus issues, and anything that smells too strong makes me go on a wicked sneezing jag. I'm talking 5 minutes of sneeze after sneeze. I tend to glare at people who smell too strongly of cologne or perfume. I don't wear anything that is sprayed because of the sneezing thing. The smells I do wear are all rubbed on. I wear a light Grapefruit essential oil. I have mixed it into some of my unscented lotions and hair conditioners. I also wear Coconut Body Butter from the Body Shop... it smells like summer time at the beach!
i'm not a huge fan of perfume, but when i do wear some i like Body by Victoria... that stuff smells great
Currently, Obsession... But that was because I couldn't find Cherry Vanilla. I have to be careful too, certain scents will trigger migraines for me too. Anything by Elizabeth Arden triggers them. When I was a teenager, for several years, I wore Tabu. It gives me a headache now too... And scents change on me. Something about my body chemistry will make most perfumes turn sour-smelling, or strongly of alcohol, when I put them on. And, scents usually go away very quickly on my skin, so I always have to spray some of it on my clothes or in my hair.
I get Escada for free, so I've got that...I think it's called 'Ibiza' or something along the lines of that... Most of the time though I'll put some lavender oil on normal perfume spots and I'm set.
I love vanilla, pumpkin, and cinnamon. Well, the latter two are more for candles, but I'm a sucker for vanilla. Lotion, lip balm, perfume... Oh, butterscotch is nice, too.
I wish I had some actual perfume, but the only stuff I have I don't like. However, my dad got me some French baby perfume in Germany years ago that I just love, even though it's to help babies stay good smelling. It's Bvlgari's Petits et Mamans, and it smells like baby powder mixed with orange blossoms and other flowers. I put a few drops in my brush and it keeps my hair smelling awesome. I also have vanilla bath and body works lotion that I love after a shower and a little tube of sweet pea bath and body works lotion that I keep in my purse. I'm all about the lotions.
I'm a perfume freak...I love it!!! Anyway, I mostly wear "Feminine by Dolce & Gabbana", "Blue by Ralph Lauren", "Bora Bora by Liz Claiborne" & "Emporio by Armani". In the shower, I use "Cucumber Melon with Green Tea by Dove" and then I lotion my body down with "Cucumber Melon by St. Ives"...that lotion makes my skin baby soft for hours.
i don't like typical perfumes usually, and they can give me a headache. so when i wear anything it is usually sandalwood oil. sometimes i mix it with a touch of vanilla. smell good enough to eat! lol. somebody said there is a grapefruit essential oil. i haven't seen that, going to look for it for summer. sounds nice!!!
