I lived in Syracuse NY during the blizzard of 1966. It took them days to get the streets plowed out. I think we were off school for a full week. I think it was the first time that I ever saw a snowmobile. One rode down the center of our street. It allowed us to walk down to the main street and get milk. At that time we had a dachshund Max and he ran out the front door and immediately disappeared under the snow. He came back with a very surprised look on his face. You could go out and shovel snow and then come in and look out the window and everything was covered all over again. As kids it was fun. I could not handle that these days.
Tell me about it. It's a killer. There is snow in parts of Australia, just not near myself. Though I can't recall there ever being a snowstorm here, although I could be mistaken.
Nothing wrong with reminiscing though ......... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=imXX7A8gCqE"]WTVH Channel 5 News - Blizzard Of 1966 - Syracuse NY - YouTube Hotwater
