WildRain, The movie is sooo bad it's actually funny Another lousy movie was Killdozer about a Bulldozer that single-handedly wipes-out a construction crew......ha, ha,.... h
3) Welcome to the Dollhouse - Artsy-like film that failed in many different ways 2) Tie between Pitch Black and Anaconda - Supposed action-suspense movies that don't have much of either. Drumroll, please, and the worst movie of all time is... 1) Son-In-Law - How much longer can Pauly Shore possibly live!!!??? Alex
http://www.x-entertainment.com/messages/433.html http://www.141empire.com/141cinema/painfullybad/worstwitch/page1.htm Just reading these reviews was enough to convince me that this was the worst movie I have never seen. I mean it is described by one as "painfully bad" and the other as "the most disturbing movie ever made". Ok, I don't believe everything I read, but the pictures and sound clips just confirmed that they were telling the truth. I would like to see it just to confirm that it is as bad as it sounds, but the only time I have seen it being shown in the UK was when I was on holiday with no access to a TV. What makes it worse in my opinion is that I used to love the books that it is based on, and also the TV series based on them that was made more recently, and not long ago went out and re-purchased the books since I couldn't find the originals (might have borrowed them from the libray), and also found that a further one had been written.
the grudge did suck .the previews were scarier than the movie.i didnt even get scared in that movie.but id have to say open water was the worst movie ever.people were walking out of the theatre. i dont even know why they made a dvd. it was soo horrible.the people who made that movie should be banned from the movie business
Another example of Americans fucking up a great movie. Watch the Japanese version (it's titled "Juon"), it's fantastic. Alex
the 2001 version of planet of the apes, it sucked so much ass it should be destroyed to honor the original ape movies.
I watched "Open Water" two nights ago and was terribly disappointed. They gave us no reason to care for these people...little back story, little personality, little anything. And I like an ambiguous ending to a movie because it gives you a chance to argue what happened with friends, but this movie seemed to just end without really hinting at anything.
You obviously haven't seen "The Cell". That was one weird, cool tripped out movie. I actually didn't even like J. Lo until I saw her act but of course I haven't seen "Anaconda" or "Gigli". For those who said "Donnie Darko" sucks,(gasps in sheer horror) I don't even know what to say to you. Probably some of the worst movies that I've seen are "Freddy vs. Jason" and "Here on Earth" or maybe it's "Heaven on Earth" with Lelee Sobeski (sp?). I walked out of the theater, probably the only time.
Definitely Signs. It's not even that bad if you look at it in an objective manner, but the movies that are 'worse' are good in their way... i.e. Karate Kid is awful, but cool for children... Signs is just rubbish... it's about aliens wanting to take over the earth, which they almost succeed to do, but in the end the 'good guys' discover the aliens can't stand water... so some superintelligent life form from outer space that can't stand water, tries to take over the earth, while 70 percent of the earth is water and there's even water in the fucking atmosphere? That just makes me angry.
Ocean's 12. What a refined, perfectly marketed, and cunningly deceiving pile of orang utang shit! Having laughed at the first movie, I was suckered in to see this, this, this I don't know what the fuck it was. Rob this and rob that and she is this, but her dad is that and he robs as well, and she robs as well and I rob and you rob and FUCK OFF! I even started to play a videogame on my phone because this movie was phenominally boring. An average carjacking in LA, or a liquor store getting turned over would have required more brain cells than this calamity of a movie made by jerks offs who get paid well to do one thing: jerk off.
Thank you for this post. I thought "Signs" was okay (I'm easily amused, what can I say?) however this really made me think about it. That was kind of a stupid movie, huh? Before, I never really bothered to think about it. I hate movies that always make aliens seem hostile and want to take over our planet. Just because we like to take over "foreign lands" doesn't mean that other planet's life forms will be the same way. Anyway, if superintelligent life forms have been visiting, as people say, then I'm sure they would have found a way to invade by now. Hollywood, man.
I have just finished watching the first half of Plan 9 From Outer Space.I was expecting something so bad as to be laughable. For once I agree with Halliwell's Film Guide that states, " Sometimes hailed as the worst movie of all time.It is certainly one of the most boring".
