^I disagree. I think it's an excellent cover, because Johnny Cash changed the contex to his own personal emotions instead of just doing an exact run of the mill cover. I think this was one of Cash's greatest skills. He puts so much emotion into his version, in a different way to the original. In some ways, to me they seem like different songs altogether, even though they are of the same lyrics etc.
neil young can bring me down anyplace anyhow....and there's this one song of micheal pitt....death to birth...damn....beatifull as it is,it makes me cry alll the goddamn way!! candy sue
i'm jumping on the johnny cash train...the vid for 'hurt' never fails to make me choke up (although i cry in many, many things, even the flippin princess bride, so that's probably not a good indicator). and radiohead is also sympathetic when you are down
Probably Californication by Red hot chili peppers or that band Coldplay their really sad and depressing almost makes me wanna cry.
hmmm i dont really cry to songs, i do feel maybe moved.. Tears in Heaven by Clapton is sad cause he sang it after the loss of his son..very sad... But the song that I actually cried too would have to be that song from the cartoon American Tale, where fievel sings "somewhere out there"
It Could be 'Lullaby' by Starsailor, 'Creep' by Radiohead, or 'As you are' by Travis...but it is in fact most definitely 'October' by U2...or indeed 'Everybody hurts' by R.E.M.Or indeed a host of others I could mention, but will refrain from doing so at this juncture...
How to disappear completely, Radiohead Little earthquakes, Tori Amos Caught a lite sneeze, Tori Amos a lot of songs on Disintegration by The Cure and because of the lyrics, a lot on the second Libertines album
