The strange this is that I just got positive rep for my post from the same guy who neg repped me about Pantera.

 

If i'm honest, I nearly neg repped you the day I joined. I said hello in the introduction forums and you basically called me an arsehole

um, it's just a hairstyle. i never said i was more special than you because of my hair, nor can you make claims about my spiritual leanings. if you had actually gone to the dread forum you would see that it much like any other forum here. And just like any other forum, we don't appreciate people that are just looking to provoke an argument or troll. Vanity isn't something that you'll see a lot of in the dread forum. It may come of that way, because afterall, it is a forum about locks, so that's what we talk about.

Also, your knowledge of RasTafari is laughable.

And since it is important to stay on subject, I also get a lot of dumb neg reps from NP, but I love it.

Yes, the word "I" was used in the first sentence. The last sentence doesn't count since it actually has something to do with this thread. However, there was no sense of intolerance for the opinions of others. If anything there was encouragement to be open-minded. Nor was the statement excessive in pride. It was an attempt to have the poster think differently.

In no way does the statement fit the definition of self-righteousness, or vanity. If anything the response to the statement was self-righteous in comparison.

 

A strong position doesn't require defense and it is the offended that takes offense, any way I love it all. Nice meeting you.
