There's good people like Tupac and Commonn, but most of it is complete crap and is completley unrelatable. But when it's good, it's really good. I just can;t relate to how low my chain hangs or picking out rims for my microwave.
I think annoying rappers have done to blacks what annoying pop stars have done to young white women. I would want the majority of either group representing my gender, race, culture etc.
Like all musical genres, there is good and bad. I respect good rap, but not tasteless rap like eminem. It does take talent, and a big personality.
*shrugs* I used to hate on it cuz that was the cool thing to do, which is REALLY why I suspect most people hate it, but since I grew up and found this thing called using my own mind to form my own opinions, I really like a lot of it. But lately the radio seems to be playing some absolute shit. I likes me some OG's and Eminem.
well the "rhyme scheme" is the drum beat in rock/country which is neutral then rap. rock has DRUMS and DRUM players unlike Rap its ALL behind a soundboard/drum beat box. but i still like rap though am just VERY PICKY.
I'd like to know the same thing, because I find Eminem to be refreshingly genuine and real. His new album kicked the shit out of just about anything else I've heard new lately. I have almost an unhealthy desire to reach out and be his friend. I think he's very talented, I love his voice, and if he's not being sincerely serious and real, he's making me laugh. I like that.
What I don't like about rap nowadays is the fact that it's waaay to cliche now. Bust guns, fuck chicks, do drugs, how tight we are and have money/fancy shit. Not enough variety in subject matter and/or style. It needs a fresh mix of shit.
Don't let my next sentence offend you because honestly I don't know if your joking or not. Really, I'm just wondering. Seriously?
