My wife came to me with a couples idea tonight. There's a place that opened where you can throw axes. Like axe throwing. I burst out into fits of laughter at the idea and she got annoyed at me. I just thought it was cute and dorky. But few hours later and I'm built up aggression and a bad attitude I'm thinking throwing axes is exactly what I'm missing in life atm.

So I did some looking into it, and there's teams and stuff. Championship Axe Throwing.

So we will go throw some axes and see how it is.

 

Yeah, pretty much that's what we are going. With a joint it two as well. She says she expects me to pick up straight away, as I'm pretty hand eye coordinated and know how to throw things without looking to girlie lol. She said it'll be fun and wants to go. So we are going.

I grew up playing baseball so from a young age I learned how to throw, but I always found it strange when people stepped with their same side throwing arm leg. It's not limited to girls but I think it is a lot of what makes that "girlie" throw as you say.

 

And the elbow action, I think girls tend to throw with the elbow rather than the shoulder. I'm a really good side arm thrower. I dunno, I guess I learned with a rope, throw a rope around things. Horse shoes, tennis balls.

When I'd go out to farmers meets with my dad we'd always have a soccer ball or something to kick around. Also we skipped rocks across water a lot probably why I'm alright at side arm.

And then in HS I always got picked for talent squads after their annual sports tests and when I made it into round 3 they measured my speed of a baseball and I was picked for three sports. Baseball, cycling and rowing. I chose rowing.. I probably should have picked cycling.
