And does anyone know how to make my keyboard go back to how it should be? This has happened before and I never know why, or how to change it back.. I can't make the POUND sign, it just does a hash. And the @ and the " are swapped over...

I had a similiar issue and it was because I had somehow switched to a spanish keyboard. Does the backslash \ type something different too ?

I don't know now because I restarted. But before I did, the forward slash did something different, so probably!

If you are on Android, look for a symbol like this



That's the settings icon and you should be able to find keyboard settings from there, the standard setting is an English - QWERTY configuration.

So you might want to check the language as Meliai mentioned and the proper config.

So did the peoples who gave us the standard keyboard. A fun fact while we're on the topic, Apparently there have been various tests by "typists" we'll call them and the standard keyboard layout is not the best and most efficient layout. There's a layout called the "Dvorak" layout and it sensibly groups the most commonly used letters together.

 

Somehow this doesn't surprise me.

Looking at a picture of Dvorak keyboard but I can't really tell how different it is by just mental typing..

 

It's what I would do.
I quite like waiting in airports and train stations.. I like the energy. There are limits though. 18 hours in a Chinese airport got a bit wearing.

 

I set my keyboard configuration to it one night just for shits and giggles. I realized my muscle memory has been so trained over the years to the QWERTY layout that it was slightly odd.

 

I'm sick again; or was last night. I puked. Several times. other end too. not fun. But I feel alright this morning now that my stomach has calmed down a bit. It feels weird and was extra bad because I have only recently recovered from histamine fish poisoning that had me down and out for about a week! So this came as a shock so soon after that. Really weird, but it's looking like I'm in the clear now. I'm just glad it didn't last a week this time.

Purnell is really pissed off with me lol. I've been saying I wasn't joining his team for months and now in the All Star Race I had an interview after the race where I declared live to the world that I would be leaving team MFR. So now Purnell is wondering wtf I'm doing and upset I'm not doing it with him.

 

That occurs to me. I went to Starbucks a couple of times and could have picked it up there. Besides that I ate a bunch of sugar. That has made me sick in the past. But anyway, I'm feeling much better.

 

Picked up a laser pointer today to mess with the cats. It looks like they enjoy it but it got me to thinking, there is no way for them to 'win', i.e., they can't catch it. So now I wonder if it's just pure frustration for them.
