Not hard at all! And in my opinion, SO much better tasting than a frozen or store bought pie. I'm the opposite, I'm a better baker than cook. :)

They were getting crowded when I was leaving earlier, so tomorrow probably will be a bit crazy. I bet you get let out early, at my last job, they at least did that for us.

So I'm not getting campus closure notifications. I figure they're supposed to go out to everybody enrolled. Last Tuesday I showed up to school and there was nobody on campus. Everything was shutdown in the wake of tragedy of fires and shootings. Today I called around to try and figure out why I didn't get the memo. From what I'm told, it's possible that because I am a student at two campuses within the same district I'm only getting messages for one campus and not the other. Something in the programming of emergency messages and notifications doesn't allow for both. We'll see if that's what it turns out to be because as of right now it's only a theory. But it has been suggested by two separate sources, so I'm guessing that's going to be the explanation.

We might. I can't remember if we typically do. I think he let us out a couple hours early last year, but I'm not sure. Maybe I'll just put on my big girl panties and go tonight. Supposed to go to a Blackout Wednesday party tomorrow anyway.

No, no, no.... Don't confuse it with Yo' Momma jokes.

It is like the simple Yo' Momma retort.

I have to have the triplets at the dentist in the morning for 8:00 a.m. cleaning appointments.

I'd kill their mom for making those appointments but... She did birth my granddaughters and puts up with my son, so...

Yeah. Turns out there are more drunk driving arrests the Wednesday before Thanksgiving then there are on 4th of July, Super Bowl Sunday, New Year's, or any of the other "typical" drinking holidays. Something about people needing to blow off steam before dealing with family, and coming back to their hometowns to hangout with friends they've lost touch with.

Despite the name, I'm not planning on getting blackout drunk. Let's just be clear there...

I wish they'd quit calling the Friday after Thanksgiving 'Black Friday.' All Fridays matter.

I am NOT looking forward to the Arctic blast coming to New England for Thursday. We had snow last Thursday, but still. I can't cope with cold well.

@Deidre : Leaving your home state for the holiday? I am not. I've gone from Maine to Connecticut and vice versa before. I-90 at Exit 9 in Sturbridge, MA (the I-84 West exit from I-90/Massachusetts Turnpike) used to be real ugly when they had the old school toll booths. It was no fun. Slowed traffic for two miles or more was considered normal.

    (P.S. Sorry that I can't PM you.)

Still one of my favorite pictures from the Western Prominade in Portland, ME. How this photographer got the distant Mount Washington, NH in there is beyond me! I was on the same hill in September 2017. Not so nice when there's late summer haze and humidty in the air. (I was staying at that Clarion Hotel you see down below on my pic. 46065722_10158064606087796_7576630886364348416_n.jpg 21751380_10156707685047796_1612905389032856263_n.jpg

Ah, good ol' New England, how I very occasionally miss thee.

Was just in Mass. a couple months ago. Checked out my old stomping grounds at Good Harbor. The surf was excellent. People were swimming, surfing, and sunbathing. And now, less than two months later, Arctic blast.

    Stay warm :)

it's already -7 here so I don't feel bad anyone sorry.
An "arctic blast" lol, sounds like your typical Alpine day in the Bayern Alps. :)
Have fun with that though. I'll be thinking about y'all, in the comfort of my warm home.
