I wouldn't be worried inside the venue.

It's just driving through these terrible, crime filled areas to get to the venue.

Depends on the party, some of them are more conducive to fully dressing up but sometimes people do dress up as ninja turtles or pokemón and stuff.

Never been on MDMA at a concert? The bass while rolling at a rave/festival is mindblowing.

I just have a fear of my car breaking down when I'm alone.

About 30 years ago my former husband's niece stopped for directions and was abducted from inside her car.

She was taken to a house, cut many times on her throat and chest, stripped naked; had to jump out of a window in the room they locked her in, run back to her car, drive naked to the police station, and sit in the parking lot blowing the horn until the police came out and got her in a blanket.

I remember once when I was like 17 and mapquest was relatively new, it gave me really terrible directions to six flags....and that was my introduction to the bad side of Atlanta. It was scary!

So according to mapquest circa 2002, Six Flags is in the middle of project housing lol.

But the masquerade itself is in a nice area right? I havent been to the new one

I'll tell a fun tale. One night group of friends we were out drinking at a club and decided to go to this rich side of town in the hills where a guy lived. So we got there and Laura and I we were being real royal pains in the ass right like we didn't really know this guy but we picked up his guitars and we started strumming and singing and just being dickheads and then we were like alright fuck this we walking home which was, probably a 3hr walk. So the rest of the troops come with us and we are obviously making a lot of noise drunk walk home and we are all walking down the road like a platoon and this one random guy juming in bushes, random who knows who even was.

And then the cop car comes up the hill and we scatter. Mez my girl and two guys go one side of road the rest go the other. The other side all got pulled up but we legged it through the bush. The cops were using my friends to call us so we'd give away our positions but we kept phones off.

Walking back we got lost and ended up walking through people yards and stuff as it was half in the bush area. Anyway we needed to find the golf course and we were running through yards and sensor lights come on and we freak out and then we got to the Golf course which has a suspension bridge that divides the two parts of town.

2hr walk from ther e home but we made it.

GPS only has to send signals to outer space and back to our hand held devices, I don't know why it's so difficult for them to get it together.

And the night we broke into the circus. :tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy: we all got taken to the police station, nothing happened but they called my dad and he was furious because it was so early in the morning. He knew it was harmless fun so wasn't too hard on me. He came and picked us up and you know that might have actually been the first time my parents were just totally cool with what me and my wife had because my dad was like alright you two, it's home time and bed..

Until that I think I was still sneaking out to see her at nights. and I'm pretty sure also that after that night, it was common place for us to be together at my home and room.

Man I've had some fun nights when I look back. Another one we all legged it from one city to another over a mountain and through a cemetary took us hours. The road! That was massive night. Used to walk so much back then.

One night we walked back from the dam and took a shortcut that wasn't and everyone freaked out because we were missing for hours and my mum thought we were kidnapped and we all walk out of the scrub all happy and meet a barrage of family that wasn't. Rofl.

The air memorial disaster night in the bush and we all freaked the hell out with ghost stories. :tearsofjoy: we used to cemetary visit a lot back then too.

I remember one time a couple of friends and I decided to camp out at an old revolutionary war battleground. We woke up still drunk from the night before to the sound of cannons and people walking around in revolutionary war costumes ....freaked us the hell out, we started belly crawling through the woods to get away :tearsofjoy:

I'm still not convinced they were reenactors, I think they were ghosts

We use to end up getting cars stuck.

Once I went with a 15 year old who took his parents Cadillac out into the sand dunes and got it stuck. It wasn't easy getting that car out and back to the condos before his parents found out.

Another time I was riding in a car with a boy and we suddenly ended up off the road and down a deep embankment. We managed to get pulled out and I got back to wherever I was supposed to be.

    It's all a blur, really.

They're the nights probably behind us now. I don't envision doing much like that again. Though I do hold hope for Teutoberg Oktober camp in the first. I'm sure I'll trip and have an adventure in the first one night.

Only 47 weeks away now. :D

One time my Mum and her partner were away and I brought some people back home from the pub for an impromptu party. By the morning there was just one guy playing the Stones "Sticky Fingers" LP over and over at full volume. I had crashed out by this point. Anyway what happened was the neighbour who had a key to our house (For security reasons) came and unplugged all of my Mum's partner's expensive stereo system, confiscated it and took it next door. When I saw it missing in the morning I thought someone had stolen it, and then boy would I be in trouble. So I was relieved it was just confiscated ultimately.

One night when I was about 19, my best friend and I had to walk more than 6 miles up a terrible route, and that far back to her broken down car.

We were in S. E. Atlanta and it was rough even back then. We were drunk and tried to find a house my brother stayed at.

The 4 lane was a rough place with a bunch of truck lines, and even the Atlanta Federal Penitentiary, so we walked behind this massive concrete wall built along side it.

That was almost as bad but we wanted to be hidden from the cars and trucks on the road. The wall separated the road from some bad apartments and other stuff.

It was a pretty adventurous night that could have ended badly.

I used to go to squat raves. Whole buildings overtaken for parties. Summer of '92-'94 you knew if you went to the pub someone would eventually say 'party!' and you'd stick around them and either walk or get a cab somewhere. People would paint dayglow pictures on sheets and hang them up, there'd often be a garden with a fire going, and you could always score weed. On a few occasions I would literally stay out all weekend. I remember one of my most memorable nights there was a stage in the garden with bands, and a chillout tent. The same pub me and my mate Joe had a duo going and we would perform on open mike nights. Then Joe stole my French girlfriend off me but that's another story.

Well I went out last night. I had fun and that's all that's happening. After awhile of being jammed between several people and not being able to really dance though I decided to head back to the hotel. The club was nice, but people had spilled stuff on the floor, and there was something soggy under my feet. It might have been chewing tobacco! yuck... anyway, doing it all over again tonight, only on fewer hours of sleep! :) Academy LA here I come!
