What's Happening???

I remember those match box cars

 

even before i probably knew what nascar was, i had already predetermined that i liked it because i remember looking at the stock car matchboxes and i remember saying to myself probably ages 10ish that i liked all the colors and sponsors. then Daytona USA Arcade machines came about, i thought it was cool then i remember i watched my first race at a convention and i was hooked.

I have just been alerted that NASCAR Hall of Fame driver, David Pearson has passed away. Pearson drove for the iconic Wood Brothers Racing Team in the #21 Motorcraft entry.

 

all is quiet on the local front, as far as i know, although the nutters on the bus keep getting nuttier.
the driver isn't their lawyer. when he tells them to sit down and shut up, he(/or she, we have some lady drivers too)
is already giving them a free ride, and they want to keep arguing and act like they can't hear anything he says.
well this is why i don't love alkeys who can't or won't 'maintain' in public.

 

Look for the domino effect over the next year as an entire class of drivers drop off one by one like Darrell Waltrip, Bobby Allison, Cale Yarborough,
Bill Elliott …or basically the entire cast of Stoker Ace…lol….

 

I don't want to hear that though. Waltrip and Elliott still have some time though.

 

It's in its permanent place. Well actually, if I buy earlier Jeff Gordon models then they all shift a spot.
Looks weird though. 40+ #24 and one #9 lol.

Probably hard to see but the top left car, has all these names printed on the hood. Our names are on the hood. we got them there by helping out the Drive To End Hunger charity that Jeff was supporting. just doing our part for the hungry elderly Americans.

If anyone is actually interested in what I am accomplishing with this collection, from left to right is a chronological order of Jeff Gordon's history. When he retired, Chase Elliot became the #24 but and I decided to make it a #24 history. Chase moved to the #9 this year, William Byron took the #24. Although I love the #24 and Byron, he just hasn't lived up to my expectations so I stuck with Chase in the #9.

So it starts with Jeffs 1993 Rainbow Dupont scheme and runs through his career. At the time I started to collect these they weren't really making race win cars, they finally have now and if I ever find the room and money, I will want all Jeffs 94 odd winning cars. I have maybe 7 or 8 in there including the Martinsville car in which I saw him win in.

 

I wonder if Mel got that cake I sent her. I DHL Express that right over to America.

 

If she did... @Meliai I want to see the cake! Take pictures. Cake is easily the best food group
