What's Happening???

I like a few songs, they're evocative.

 

They are like nostalgia set to music.

 

^same.. But I wasn't impressed by videos of her live. I prefer album versions.

 

There is nothing more connected to childhood for me then certain smells. I was walking outside the other day and I caught this certain scent of autumn leaves mixed with the muddy banks of a creek.

It whisked me away to a moment in my childhood where I was trying to cross a river using stepping stones. The water was icy cold and I was trying to be very careful not to get my shoes wet. I accidentally stepped on the shell of a huge snapping turtle, which I had mistaken for a rock. I was so startled when the "rock" began moving that I staggered into the river, soaking myself from the knees down.

 

Stepping stones ! that's life mate sometimes you fall in

 

Just robbed a train in Red dead. Now I'm gonna fix dinner 'irl'

 

Lol that memory sparked me to create another thread, which also kind of has to do with stepping stones.

 

The leaves here are still green.

I think the Dogwood trees are starting to turn, though.

 

Well that was a fun first half the day. Spent all day till lunch cleanin' the shared kitchen, I get tired of cleanin' up after these damn kids, rockin' out to some loud ass Irish rock, & sortin' 10 crates of slightly rotten sweet taters from really rotten ones. Then I swept all the dirt out the door & now I'm thinkin' I may head to the lake for the afternoon. Hope my phone's right & it won't rain. Reckon we'll see.

I just got out of the shower and momentarily my daughter will be here to drop off Piper.

I'm half thinking about having a pit fire later. We've got alot of dead fall to get out of the way.

 

I can't build a fire out of that stuff...I forgot it rained.

 

I can't get warm today...
