What's the sauce situation

 

That was going to be my question. What kind of pasta, and what are you mixing it with?

 

Any sauce except for Italian sauce is good for pasta. I'm horrified of pasta sauce since I was a kid and the parents used to make us eat it all the time. Boring pasta with boring tomato based pasta sauce. Literally couldn't eat pasta for a decade until more recently I discovered all this cream pasta and chilli pasta, pasta without the tomato based sauce. I've been hooked on the stuff ever since.

 

Just a simple sauce...garlic sauteed in oil, add tomatoes (I use canned because i'm too lazy to use fresh), simmer, add some salt, fresh basil, and red pepper flakes. Serve with spaghetti and freshly grated pecorino cheese

 

I was just woken up by some noise on the road, think some young kids next door are on the booze.

I like the tubes atm, about the length of a matchbox car. Fry ham or bacon with in, make a cheesy, cream white sauce. I pretty much throw chilli flakes into anything I make these days lol. One thing that works with this pasta is olives! I love olives with the little red tongues.

I have eaten too much this day rofl. I don't know what came over me I just became hungry. but I'm looking good in the mirror still so that's good I think this new diet basically just kicked in and I was like damn I need food! So Saturday was a pig out plain and simple.

For my miss new diet I'm going to go and buy smaller plates for the kitchen, like the saucer small plates. My thinking is you eat less food on a smaller plate, so it's portioned better. I took the same amount of food as her today, I used a big plate. I could have kept filling my plate, she used a small plate and it looked like too much food.

That being said, I'm ordering pizza for dinner, because the point of "fuck it" is way back there, and I'm way past it.

 

My 4 tomato plants gave me so many tomatoes this year I didn't know what to do with them, so I made my own paste with it and was able to go and buy all these cute mini mason jars from the Asian store and then I sold a lot of it at a fate fair. Ohhh what's the word... I cannot think of the word... It's called... I dunno. Fuck. I say it all the time.

Anyway I create a few flavours, one is the tomato, I also make a beetroot flavour too, it's good for dipping bread. Chutney! Thats it.

 

Here's what I was selling at the fair. it was a chilli tomato chutney. 5€ a jar. I sold them all and my midwife friend who owns a Cafe, she helped me out with some sample breads for people. It was good. It's encouraging when strangers try your food and then buy it.
