This is lovely. I would say that at least one third of the music I listen to is classical, but I don't post it here because I don't think anyone has the time for it. Of course I also love the most outrageous Rock 'n' Roll. At 47 I'm still a crazy mixed up kid at heart ;-)

I think the primary differences which makes football rougher than rugby in some respects is it's downhill, as in straight at each other every play as opposed mostly being side to side and then passing is alot further making collisions that much more intense.

 

NFL players could learn a lot from rugby tackles. The old rule, they can't run without legs. Put your arms around the legs, men fall down. NFL just throw bodies at each other and they bounce off and run away it's very rare you find a ball and all tackler.

Another noticeable difference in NFL is that 22 players are all working their ass off every play, which is not the case for Rugby.

 

Going for the legs is bad form for tackles, center of gravity is too low, lots of guys in NFL can pretty much hop over someone or run someone over if they try that and it's basically a cheap shot on receivers. The only time that's potentially useful is if it's the only option from the side or chasing down.

 

Not gonna argue with you, but... They can't run without legs. you know what else annoys me in the NFL a receiver will let a pass fall 2 feet in front of him without making an effort to catch it. 50 million dollars for a few years and they can't be bothered to make an attempt to catch a ball that fell in front of their face.

 

I'm not one of them but stuff like this is why some people prefer the College game over the NFL, because they don't really do that.

 

Most likely explains why there aren't leg amputees playing in the league.

 

The air might make you kinda sick. The CO₂ and O₂ levels were higher in those days and Earth was more tropical in general. I bet a human would be miserable.

 

For the record I like American Football the best. I'm really passionate about my Broncos and just as passionate with hating the Raiders, Chiefs, Chargers.
