I had a good sleep. It's Sunday. I don't know what else.

 

Me too. Doubled my meds last night.

 

I've been up half the night answering ads in the personals...sad.

 

I asked a person who I had no idea of their literary tastes of to tell me a book to buy and I think I'm going to enjoy it but I've just remembered after a few pages of confusion that in Russian novels each character has five different names. I just had pizza for lunch. A German woman just said her credit card PIN out loud to her daughter and numbers are most of the German I know, but I don't steal so she's okay.

I've only read One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich.

I am intrigued.

 

I had a look at The Gulag Archipelago by him. We used to know this guy who spoke Hungarian and had travelled all around Eastern Europe and Russia. He said sometimes he got followed by KGB. We used to get mail delivered to us for him from Eastern Europe that was in hidden envelopes. Anyway he gave me that book.

 

Is there a reasoning behind the way they use different names? Like.. Imply different tone.. Or something like that?

I don't mind it once I get into it but wondered if it has meaning I'm missing or is it just random

 

something is telling my brain to get up earlier as if Im subconsciously aware that Ill been needing to drive further to work shortly but they still have not made a decision as to who goes where. not liking this at all.

 

Were the envelopes hidden inside ..other envelopes?

 

Well actually I think they were from shell companies. I grew up with some hardcore anarchists and communists.

 

He used to call me "Squire" and always said "Be paranoid. Be very paranoid." And I did become paranoid. But not so much these days.

 

This guy was so good at Hungarian he wrote a book IN Hungarian. The book is at my Mum's house. My childhood. It was another Universe.

 

I had forgotten how much I like Asheville, the Portland of the east it is. Everyone there ranges from just a little strange to very strange and I feel instantly comfortable there.
And the hippies have moved on, it seems. didnt see too many dreaded patchouli types. So thats a relief. (Jk)

 

And what's wrong with patchouli?

 

I couldnt even tell you what it smells like, i'm sure its fine.
I burn nag champa like its going out of style and probably smell like it too so who am I to judge
