I always get a wild hair to drive to the coast during a hurricane

I wouldnt actually do it, but if there was a foolproof safe way to witness such an awesome force of nature, it would be...pretty awesome

I suppose if you were on an upper floor of a highrise right on the water. Though I suppose it depends how strong the winds are. Don't want the windows blown out and can't see anything through boarded up windows.

Prolla no foolproof safe way to watch.

It was the last official day for one of my longer time coworkers, which I think/know is going to have a domino effect on other people :( She gave me a big hug towards the end of the day and then left, apparently not even telling the owners she was leaving. :flushed:

I often wonder what it would be like to be struck by a lightening bolt. Maybe get special powers like on the xfiles. Apparently the success of staying alive when struck is pretty high, which seems near impossible. I wonder what that must feel like. I've been electrocuted before, one time at school formal/prom we had all these disposable cameras and I thought it a good idea to stick a fork in the flash. All I remember was being awake staring at the ground the camera was somewhere else and I had a burn mark on my finger lol.

when it happened to me, all I remember was the hair on the back of my neck standing up, and then waking up later in the infirmary.

So no cool special powers then? Maybe you just don't know how to like use them? We should seriously consider harnessing this power.

well, dunno about cool powers, but I haven't died yet, despite apparently being some deity's idea of target practice. I tend to drain batteries if I'm near them too long (can't carry a cellphone or wear a powered watch, only mechanical)

The koala drove my cats and dog crazy, lol. Bless his heart! Give that baby his tree, damn it!!!

My cousin has been struck by lightening twice. The first time he was wearing a "halo" because he'd broken his neck. He was a young teen at the time. I'm not so sure when the other time was.

With all of this talk of dogs, there’s a disgusting case out of Northbridge, MA today involving a small dog which had to be euthanized after it was buried alive. Richard Piquard was charged with one count of animal cruelty. He claims the dog a 17-year-old Shih Tzu named Chico, which had belonged to his ex-girlfriend wasn’t getting along with his cat.

He’s scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday in Uxbridge District Court.
