Can you trace your roots back to the Neander Valley in Germany?

not directly, no, but my exwife was an anthropologist that was fascinated with my genetic expressions. she said I had enough markers that I'd actually be mistaken for a first generation sapiens/neanderthal cross in the field, and likely in the lab as well. apparently I've got a bunch of atavistic features (shape of my feet, hands, muscle connection points, jaw shape, etc) that she continually remeasured for the first.. 3 months we were dating. I do have a large amount of celtic, though (more than 60%) and it's possible I picked up traits through the gene migration north.

hahah.. the roommate (who is currently thoroughly disgusted by witnessing me walk out of the kitchen with a second quarter kilo of the stuff, btw) refers to my room as 'the cave' - cool and dark.. (about 60F, which it's still not as cool as I'd like, but good enough) and only the top 1/4 of the window not darked out. usually don't even have a lamp on.

I quite honestly wouldn't be surprised. she said it'd take some heavy labwork to find out, but it might be part of my health 'weirdness' - unfortunately we left colorado before she could get in touch with some of the people at her old uni's anthro department. honestly, I'd have liked to have seen the results.. but yeah 'caveman' is something I get applied to me quite a bit. more amusing than insulting, tbh.

confused as to why you'd be annoyed, unless you were annoyed that it was only a dream. still, congrats on getting in early in spite of the rain.

It's very odd and fascinating to me that your mind can conjure up such narratives while dreaming

in dreams, where I've lived a thousand lives, over a thousand lifetimes.

what's really weird is when you get compressed time, and wind up living an entire life over the course of a few hours sleeping.. and so disorienting when you slam back into this shell and have to .. recalibrate.

My dreams tend to be non-linear if there are any perceptual changes in time, I sometimes get disoriented after vivid dreams.

Did dreams influence movies or do movies influence dreams. Probably both.

I mentioned a Polish woman recently we sat in the garden and talked. She wants to go for a walk today but it's not really the right weather. Raining.

take an umbrella and go! seriously. rain can be romantic, especially if you two wind up at some wee little cafe chatting over hot chocolate! use the weather to your advantage!

take her a flower, tease her that it shouldn't need watering for a while. you see where I'm going with this. you can (and should!) make this a very romantic set of moments, sir!
