All these cakes are making me crave sugar, and I'm cutting that out of my diet. (The seriously sugary stuff like cakes and chocolate.) Maybe I'll get some fruit tomorrow.

 

Last week, I found Blue Berries on sale.

This week, it's Cherries!

 

I find bananas are like the candy of the fruit world. I love bananas on toast. Was a childhood treat.

 

Bout to have a pork roll and egg bagel.

 

I saw Plumcots at the store this morning.

I've never seen them before.

 

Not one bit.

 

I can handle crowds, but I don’t know if I could handle crowds with the dry summer heat of Mecca.

Every once in a while there can be fatal stampedes at the hajj.

Me neither. I just hate being stuck in it when i want to move. But i can handle being in a crowd very well. I just don't need to go somewhere else.

well you know that old army joke about digging the same hole, filling back in and digging it up again?
that's the arterial street on one side of my block. the one the buses used to run on.
they've been doing this for a couple of years now. big signs say its for transit,
but i think they just say that so people will blame it on transit, which it has yet to do anything to benefit,
or even have anything, other then forcing not always predictable rerouting, to do with it.

we do have new sidewalks and gentrificated faux retro street lights. that took a year to get to where it is now.
