This is soooo weird, that you say this. I just spoke with another employee there, as part of my beginning process with the company, and he shared that there are a lot of rules, but it's a great company to work for. It made me feel a little bit better.

Glassdoor is hard to read sometimes. Often, those ''reviews'' are usually employees that were fired or left because they weren't happy, I've noticed.

Because I think that, generally, black people are more demonstrative and expressive of emotion.

I think that, generally, white people have a more difficult time expressing emotion and their events tend to be more stiff and repressed.

So, if I were going to choose a black funeral or a white wedding to observe, without any attachment to the people involved, I'd feel like I'd seen something more genuine at the black funeral.

:/ I'd rather see repressed folks at a wedding than people grieving.

You haven't seen a drama-fest, until you've gone to an Italian funeral. :flushed:

    Right :(

My paternal grandmother died a few years ago, and she was Italian, and the theatrics by some of my dad's family was really over the top. Wailing, not crying lol My mom rolled her eyes. :tearsofjoy:

Ahhh the wailing. It can come across as false I think. Very old country.

It is, and agree. In movies, the skies always look blue, even if it's cold?

    You don't have?

  13. No.

    I mean, Croatians do.

Us Bosnian Croats - not really.
We're more traditional than your regular Croatians.

My grandmother was probably rolling her eyes, too lol She hated all that. I cried a lot when she died, and still do. I cry by myself though, I'm not into public displays of crying.

  15. People used to hire women to wail on funerals

  16. I really want to see the wailing wall.

Israel should be next on my list of places to visit.
