Also, does anybody know what Absinthe goes well with?

 

well it can't make the situation any worse, right?

 

You might approach it like it's Jägermeister. It's substantially more potent but it's got that anise flavor to it that to me almost tastes like liquorice.

The only caveat is I wouldn't recommend doing it with a Redbull like a Jäger bomb because absinthe is fairly stimulating on it's own.

 

i am almost out of all my bottles at home, i have no alcohol. but i have 1 + 2/3 bottle absinthe. im pretty fucked up right now and i dun wanna drink anymore, well.. maybe my last bit of the gin bottle. but yeh just for future reference, like i know its 70% strong the stuff i got, so yeah need a good chaser.

 

One part absinthe, two parts water.

 

I don't drink, but when I do absinthe is top of my list.

 

water???? no i already hate the taste ive tried it before. lol. i mean the taste of the absinthe. im gonna try maybe 7UP tomorrow lol.

Why if I may ask? It just gets you very drunk. And I doubt its the taste The psychedelic effects are exaggerated: its the high percentage of alcohol and maybe some placebo effect because its expected

 

Maybe I shouldn't drink it then lol. But I would also like to try it again.

The taste is most of why I like it.

 

I dunno it was too weird. I tell you what. I remember I bought it, and me and the miss we walked up a mountain and we couldn't get to the top because our hopes and dreams weren't a reality that day lol.
So I break out this cute lil red crystal goblet set I bought from a trash and treasure, gothic, medieval looking things, blood red, they're fantastic and cute. and anyway, yeah, I had the Absinthe and I pour us some to drink in our goblets and YUCKKKKK I just didn't know what to expect, but I didn't like it lol. So I put that back and we started necking a bottle of mead, proud of our achievements, did we get half way? two thirds??? who knows. but we stumbled back. we got there.

 

You drink what you like, however you like : )
I imagine it being a really hard one to mask the taste of though.

I wouldn't like it undiluted. Maybe that sugar cube ritual helps. I haven't tried that because I never own sugar cubes

Ah, fair enough I doubted that because most people i know dislike the taste.
It's also often seen as a really 'cool' drink because of the associations/rumours of it having psychedelic effects. This is why a lot of people claim to love it.

 

Yeah, it came in a 6 set, and it also came with this cool bottle maybe twice the height or more, I am not sure where that actually is, but i remember when I bought it the people did know what it was so I bought it all lol and then i took a sniff/lick of the bottle and it was perfume in there. I don't now what the goblets were for, but they were my main focus. I regularly drink the blood of my enemies out of them. just kidding, I drink mead from them.

 

It's not psychedelic but it does seem to have a slightly different effect than your standard alcohol to me. It almost feels like a low dose of cocaethylene or when you mix cocaine with alcohol. There's a lucidity about it that I dont find common in alcohol, especially with that abv.

 

The only time i've ever had absinthe, it was just served straight with a cube of sugar melted into it with an open flame...if I'm remembering correctly
