    500 miles. :p

Only 100 miles, more, would be walked by the man who walked 10,000 miles and fell down at your door.

    Olay! :grinning:

    Which part(s)?

Do you try to compensate for your plane flight in a way? :D

Oh Asmo, you can't not go there, can you?
Short answer, as I want to address your question without sending a pleasant chat thread into political pandemonium :
Avoiding meat and dairy is ‘single biggest way’ to reduce your impact on Earth

Unless by compensate you mean how am I paying for my flight? In which case--I am generally a saver and not a spender, but when I do spend, I try to spend money on experiences instead of stuff.

500 miles reminds me of my friend Kurt who always liked that sort of old folks music. He was also the type of guy to get pissed on 2 beers and like, he was such a dork it didn't matter if a chick was flirting with him, if a good a song came on he'd just want to hug everyone and sing. I can see it now. "OHHHH Joc Joc! 500 miles" and we'd sing. God we must have sounded awful. Then usually followed up by a drinking game after every song cause here's to Jocey she's true blue, she's a piss pot through and through, she's a bastard so they say, she tried to to to heaven but she went the other way so down! Down! Down! Down! Down! Down! Yayyywooooooooo

    OMG! KHE SANH !

It's not an important subject and valid (or even on itself an interesting) question?
I agree, the discussion could happen in another thread better suited for it :-D
    I was just asking :)
Nope, just the co2 stuff. Anyway, happy travels!

About your travel plans? Sure! :)

But in a public thread anyone can join in on that particular subject of airplane pollution, which i prefer because it still seems a very important one and i like taking notice of many people's thoughts on it. Not in this thread though, acknowledged :p

Anyone into Futurism type books read this?

I recently watched a discussion with Nick Bostrom, the author of this book, discussing "Superintelligence" which is essentially the Technological Singularity and he had some interesting insights.

The topic has been discussed in other books I've read by the likes of Murray Shanahan, Alva Noë, Michio Kaku and Stephen Hawking but aside from Shanahan, it's usually been a brief discussion embedded in a chapter or two.

I am aware Ray Kurzweil discusses the topic in some work as well and he's chief amongst futurist in giving specific predictions in regards to when the technological singularity will occur, so I'd be interested in any recommendations of books by him too.

Laundry has been neglected for a month - My dark clothes that is. I think I got so sick of looking at and wearing winter clothing that I didn't even want to wash it. Maybe today I'll get it done and put away.

It's raining like a flash flood here right now. I wish I'd've mowed my lawn yesterday rather than procrastinated. Now it's gonna be overgrown.

Not my favourite week. I'm in the bath with a smoke now though. You know those moments where it just feels like a "reset" happens? Utter relief.

I got a video game that I like. Between that, the gym, and walking the local malls 2 times a day, the time is really whizzing by! :)
