I went to a really fun dinner party last night. Not usually my favourite social activity but I really enjoyed it and the talking was easy and very funny.

no car ! mime has had to go into BMW to have some technical shit done to it and they fucked up on the courtesy car spent half of today phoning up nice people that were no help at all

Sorry to hear that, Libby. I've dated a few guys in the past whom I thought I loved, but they didn't treat me well at all. But no matter the reasons, break ups are hard. And break ups usually aren't the fault of one person, it takes two to make them work or not work, imo.
