Just went all grease monkey and did a quick service on the truck, filled her with diesal and we are ready to go on our journey on weekend.

 

It just occurred to me....my payment on that loan I posted about should come out of my account tomorrow (but so far they've taken it from my acct on the right day only once since I took the loan out in December). So those bastards owe me $1400 and will take another payment tomorrow...maybe.....and still owe me $1400.

I've already decided to just refinance with my regular bank. I'm done with this shit. I think when I get back from vacation I'm going to pay that loan off and put it on my personal line of credit (probably better interest anyway) until I can have my bank refinance it. I will still owe the loan no matter where it is but if it's on my credit line, I control everything about it and this shit won't happen where they just take my money on whatever day and in all kinds of different amounts, etc. Fuck them. I told them last time that I have a low tolerance for this kind of bullshit.

 

It wasn't a one payment in advance and then one in the rears** was it? So they take 2x payments in one hit?

 

Like my wifey is saying if you pay in advance and in the rear say over a fortnight then you technically are a month ahead, so it gives you options when you get to the final stages of the loan repayment.

Nope. They have someone else's loan linked to my account. I sent them the documentation from my bank proving it last time and they agreed to refund me the money. They also acknowledged again today that they are in the wrong and again promised to get it sorted out and get my money back. But I think I'm done with them now. I gave them a chance to fix it once.

 

I am not. I understand this kind of stuff very well.

Only loan I have now is the house loan. 26yrs to go. or we sell a couple of units and pay it off but those units are basically paying my mortgage with rental income, so it's better to keep them.

 

In this case, I roll this over to my personal credit line....which takes no approval from anyone except me. Then the bank is already in bed with me on it. I'm not asking for their approval at all. They got into that bed a long time ago. It's just a matter of how much money they want to make on the loaned amount. I don't mind paying a bit more in interest if they move it because it changes a few things around about the loan which make it more preferable to me.

I've always thought of new zealand as a happy, safe little country removed from that madness but i guess the madness is everywhere

 

Apparently some white guy had an issue with Muslims so he sported a military-style, camouflage outfit, and carrying an automatic rifle started randomly shooting people in the mosque.
