What's Happening???

I cooked a rotisserie style chicken last night.

Tonight, I'm going to take some of that and put it in little rolls to make chicken sliders.

I guess I'll heat up some steak fries to go with it.

 

Tell them it's Saturday and Saturday Time is worth double!

A big winter storm is hitting us right now. I've said for a number of years that I wouldn't even care about it if I didn't have to be out working in it. Well...now I'm not out working in it and I really don't give a shit. This is nice. It's exactly what I always thought it would be. But if it gets much worse and we start having power outages, I'll be out there with the guys on storm work. We'll see what tomorrow looks like.

 

about an hour after my last post the power went of, and on and off and on, then stayed off for about two and a half miniutes then came back on and stayed on after that.
no idea. i would guess a fried pigeon, snake, or someone threw something over the substation fence. hope it wasn't a cat or a human. i'll probably never know.

i mean the whole circuit, not just the one building i'm in. about an 8 to ten block or so area.

I had a dream last night where I was playing golf with one of my best friends just like we used to do all the time. It was a fun time and he was giving me shit the same way he used to. Then I woke up and remembered that he was killed in a car wreck in November. Brought tears to my eyes 10 seconds after waking up.

 

That hurts.

I'll be complaining about the heat and humidity and bugs in just a few short weeks though, spring is coming

 

those dreams are both the best and the worst. It feels nice seeing them again, even if only in a dream. But it makes the loss feel fresh and new all over again
