That sounds like a fun job. By marketing, I help companies to better ''brand'' themselves, and put together campaigns to do that. Design work involved too. Companies come to my company looking for ways to make themselves more visible in the market. (so they can sell more) Some days it's really fun, other days, it's a lot of stress but I'm hoping this job works out. : )

Ha, don't worry. I specifically meant Deidre and Eloise, since they'd mentioned being at work : )

Anyway, you're a "hard worker". Anything that comes up that you can/have to do, sounds like you get on with it and do it. Having an actual job is not necessarily any measure of success in my eyes.

I see! Sounds alright to me. Always good when there is change involved.. not doing the same thing forever.

I am up early and about ready to sign off and go to the gym for 20 min.

  6. What do you do in those 20 minutes?

    If you don't mind saying.

I use the Cybex Arc Trainer. It's like an elliptical. I think it burns a few more calories than an elliptical though by engaging your legs a bit more (you move them slightly different than an elliptical).

Have a great workout! It's nice to get it done in the morning.

I think you have the right idea and i've contemplated doing this, selling my house and moving to a rural area where the cost of living is much lower then working part time somewhere rather than full time. And having a little homestead to tend to for the rest of my time. Maybe one day.

I'm a morning workout person too. If I don't do it 1st thing it simply does not happen.

  12. You're still young enough for everything.
I don't know if I would. Depends on how rural.
I definitely wouldn't mind living in a small town though, especially if I had a family.

It's a dog's natural, survival instinct to react to fireworks. It's Fight of Flight Response.

I'm glad that my daughter's dog, and my dog, know not to sleep through loud, threatening noises. It makes them good watch dogs.

Yea, I have to stick to a schedule and if I'm off by an hour... forget about it! I end up not going, or at least not wanting to and then doing it anyway. :weary: lol

Was gonna echo Eloise and say "You are young, life is long : )"
It wouldn't suit everyone. I love the idea of gathering the people who it does suit and founding a village. I will call it, HipVillage : P
The U.K. would be a terrible place to do it though.

The countryside brings me a lot of peace but I also like modern convenience, I wouldnt like having to drive a long distance just to pick something up from the store

Smalll towns are really nice, I agree. Although a lot of them around here come with high rates of poverty and drug use and crime :( not ideal for a family lol

I've always wanted to live on a commune of sorts..more like a village, like you said. I'm not down with sharing a living space lol. We'll all have our own homes. Lets do it

Whenever I think of communes, I think of the show Sister Wives. :worried:

I looked into communes in my early twenties and had the same feelings about communal living, etc. I don't know the show Sister Wives.
Also all the communes I read about were... too hippie : P
I love what they are and how they're doing it, but I would just not fit in.
