After reading The Stand I'd notice whenever someone coughed at work or in line at the grocery or wherever. I think disease is the most probable thing that could wipe us out and I also think Man will have a hand in it somehow.

 

Once I was with the flu of 104 degrees. I kicked the flu’s ass!

 

Going to the middle eastern market today to buy some jams and maybe falafel.

Fun fact, death by flu isnt caused by the flu itself but by an exaggerated immune response.

Home Alone is on again, for 5678th time this year.
I still remember the first time I watched it.
I think it was either the last year of war, or the first year of peace.
There was no electricity that day, which was nothing new.
But we had this ridiculously tiny, portable TV though. Must have been the size of an ipad lol.
It was maybe 7 of us cooped in a small room, trying to stay warm under a bunch of blankets, everyone staring at that tiny TV and that movie like it was the best thing ever. It was pretty fun, I remember everyone laughed like crazy.
But those blankets we had....I don't know how familiar you are with red cross blankets....but they were just awful back then. Dark grey, rough and scratchy. We used to call them "horse blankets".
My mother hated them so much that she later burned all but one lol.
It all felt so simple.

Ah nostalgia.

But yeah, the movie was fun. We still like it
