I'm the total opposite. I've been completely at home in the water since I was like four. My dad had served in the Coast Guard and made sure I was a competent ocean swimmer from an early age.

I've been swimming, surfing, diving--you name it--forever. Been in a few currents, rips, runouts, etc. but if you know what you're doing, they're not dangerous. Never had the privilege of seeing a shark in the wild except on a boat, but I'm sure they've seen me.

Anyway, yeah, I can't deal with crowds of people. I'm starting to get panic attacks when I drive. My job can overwhelm me at times to the point I cry at my desk.

But I never feel like that in the water. It's like my sanctuary. When I was a little girl and people asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up, I'd say I wanted to be a mermaid.

    Still do.

Being Mountain folk we'd never really been or known the ocean. I remember the day in the water clear. I was with my mum, school holidays, Christmas, south East Coast, Australia, Ulladulla. And like I said we came from highlands not the beach and we are swimming all is well we can touch the bottom. We don't realise but we are getting taken out to see. We are having a great time and suddenly we we aren't touching the bottom anymore and we look out and the sand is a long way away. So my mum panics. She grabs me by the waist and throws me forward and screams JUST SWIM JOCELYN! And so I swam straight up the guts of the rip tide. Never thought anything of it. I made it back to the sand exhausted and I look and nobody around. I look out to mum and her friend and it didn't look good. At that specific moment I think I did give up. That was end of my mum and the only way my brain manage to process this was to laugh it straight off right there on the sand as I watch her be taken away. I shake it off. I start running for the nearest male figure. I reach him and scream MY MUM IS OUT THERE BEING TAKEN AWAY. Mind you new to Australia and new to English. He gets what I'm saying. He grabs a boogie board and goes out and saves my mum and her friend. They all come back to the sand my mum just full of tears and the man said all we had to do was swim to the side.

I know my mum ain't never been in the ocean water again. I went a few more times once I learned what to look and watch out for. I'd also soon learn the salty water is a pain in the ass anyway and my nipples didn't really enjoy it and neither my eyes or my mouth lol.

Can't remember where my dad was in all this or my 3 sisters, probably back at the caravan on the piss no doubt and that's another thing I learned when I was young. :p it's better to just be a lazy ass on the piss when camping lol.

No, that's one of the guitarists' wife.

I'll have to go back and see what minute mark my few seconds are at.

That band did another video that I had a big role in and was quite happy with it but it got pulled because somebody screwed somebody on the finances, I think.

I went to Michael's and got flowers for the cemetery.

I browsed around too long and made my legs hurt.

Then I went grocery shopping. I put the cold stuff away but I'm resting before I put away the rest of it and make dinner.

A coffee is in order, I think. Yes, coffee... later when I can stand to stand up.

    I'm heart-sick.

Late last night/early this morning photos were posted on the county crime watch page of a dog being dragged behind a truck.

The police said their was no malicious intent involved and the elderly driver would not be charged.

If this bitch dragged this dog, by a long rope tied to the back of her truck, for well over 10 miles and claims she didn't know it, what the hell is she doing owning pets and a driver's license?

    It's chilly AF here.

My son and his family are headed home today.

I'm going to order a small version of my Sobakawa to take on vacation. They weigh a ton.

    Damn it.

Two of my biggest cats just had an explosion on top of my desk and I got a big scratch on my arm.

    Not fair.

    I completely understand, Pete.

It was painful for me. Especially the photos.

She claims it was an accident.

I wish she'd at least lose her driver's license but she won't.
