My son has a new job, making a little more than he's made at Toys R Us. He will start sometime in the next few weeks.

 

Good News......He Didn't Waste Any Time......

Finally starting to come out of my funk a little. Life took a shit on a plate and demanded I eat up.

 

No, he didn't.

On March 14, Toys R Us told everyone they'd keep them for 60 days. I think they have to, by law.

He will finish up before some of the other sections of the warehouse because he's the Receiving Manager and they won't be receiving anything new.

 

I feel moody. I'm just going to be moody.

 

Wallowing is better when you have a good tempo.

 

I feel distant. I'm just going to be distant.

 

Distant is good. I don't like when I get like that but it happens lol. Fucken internet. Cost me a good race finish. I'm so pissed off. All those hours of practice and I'm looking good and then no. Internet time out. Now I know what it feels like I think when a WoW person loses a mage or some shit.

 

I feel quiet. I'm just going to be quiet.

 

One of my favorite all time albums,
Is a record by Environment's Records,
"Pacific and Atlantic" sounds of the surf.
The whole thing is entirely synthetic,
Not a single recording of an ocean wave,
Just digital noise they tweaked in a studio,
But they tested it on movie theater audiences.
In ten minutes, the sound fades into the background,
And you feel a little spring in your step,
So I would loop the recording and listen-without-hearing for hours.
Chickens do the same thing, clucking to each other at night,
Faint quite murmuring that can sooth the most easily startled soul,
And lull every baby on the planet off to sleep in Wonderland.​

 

I'm going to the world of Hulu because it lulls my dog and silence doesn't.

 

This absolute crap of a week managed to end on a high note.

Not only did I hit every green light on my way home from work, but I found a Paleo pizza crust with 5 net grams of carbs.

 

Only one breed of African dog, almost never barks. When they bark all the time, its because they are bored. I prefer to take them for walks.

 

No, she's wasn't barking.

She prefers to go to sleep with music or something on, as opposed to it being silent. The cats distract her too much if it's silent.

 

That's what the Environment's album is good for, because its white noise that embraces the silence.

 

Finished day #3 on the job.

Day 1 they were not prepared for me, and hardly had anything for me to do. So they had me read the same company material over and over until I nearly fell asleep
Day 2 was so much better, and I accomplished a lot
Day 3 was extremely tiresome as I had to go back and correct the mistakes made due to lack of proper instruction.
Let's hope day 4 goes more like day 2

 

Glad to hear he found another job.

I noticed the liquidation sale signs just went up at our local Toys R Us as well....

Or as someone aptly put "Toys R Bust" ..

 

I'd rather be surprised when people disappoint me instead of being surprised when they don't.
