I know right? This diving board is in a pool owned by the small town's high school. I guess this high school does competitive diving. As much as I prefer driving to the river and jumping off rocky cliffs, there's lots of nostalgia in this diving board.

i think it's more the insurance companies that have been responsible for the disappearance of diving boards. that said, i see them all over the place in public pools.

the diving well depth requirements keep getting deeper, so a lot of pools have had to remove them because they are only deep enough for the shorter divers of years past.

That horrible neighbor opened her door and let her huge Doberman out on me and Emma last night. I was in my son's front yard with Emma on the leash. We had our backs turned, too.

The Doberman charged at us and the dogs were face to face doing that "I'm going to eat your face off!" thing while I held tight to Emma's leash and kept screaming "No!".

The neighbor was yelling for her dog. I don't know what made her dog stop. It didn't go to her; it ran across the street.

When it did stop, I yelled at the neighbor at the top of my lungs:

I yelled and asked her what the fuck is wrong with her.

She said the dog dodged past her.

I yelled at her and told her it wasn't the first time.

I also yelled at her to put a fucking leash on the dog before she opens the goddamned door.

When I turned to leave, I could hear her running after her dog. It was trying to come after us again.

She had it by the scruff trying to drag it out of the middle of the street.

The last time I looked, it was standing in the middle of the street by itself. I guess she went back in the house to look for a leash.

Emma didn't come away with any blood on her. I don't know about the Doberman.

Also, holding Emma back with the leash, plus the stress, has caused the Fibromyalgia to flare, so I've got that going on along with the soreness that anyone would have from it.

I'm planning on working on wedding corsages and boutonnieres in a little while.

Next weekend will be a big one for my daughter. She, her fiance, and future in-laws are driving wedding decor, etc. from the girls' apartment to the in-laws' home which is closer to the wedding venue. Plus they have a nice basement apartment where everything can be staged and worked on.

The day of the wedding, a u-haul, of some size, will have to be rented to carry everything back and forth from the venue. They girls have big, towering centerpieces for the tables, big, tall floral arrangements and pedestals for the ceremony, an antique fireplace mantel, a huge wire spool table...all kinds of big stuff.

    It's crazy!

Yes, we love them. They are super nice, smoke pot, and drink wine.

We will go to their house next weekend and help when all the stuff arrives from across town. There's lots of putting together yet to be done.

Isn't wedding decor included in the venue?
Don't they have people there that you can meet amd discuss decor and what you want?
Or did you guys want to do it yourself?

When my sister got married, we didn't have to do any of that.
Her wedding was right after Christmas, and it was beeeaauuutiifuuul...the whole winter christmassy theme and decor. Lovely.

No, the venue doesn't do decor. They could have paid a wedding co-coordinator to do everything for them but that would have been separate, above and beyond the cost to rent the venue.

No, my future-daughter-in-law doesn't want to wear a dress. She doesn't have her attire yet but it will be a slacks outfit of some kind.

Hubby was outside and overheard the stupid neighbor telling my son about what happened with the dogs last night.

I can't wait to hear her version.

What kind of shit she told my son will be what I base my decision on as to whether or not I call Animal Control on Monday.

She has a history of lying.
