I got a family a free meal from Dominos Pizza.

I'm following a mother on Facebook. Her family was in a car accident in Georgia coming home from a Florida vacation. The 8 year old girl is in very serious condition in the children's hospital in Atlanta.

About a week ago, the mother told of an experience she'd had trying to get Dominos to deliver to the hospital. Their pizza couldn't be delivered because this mother, who is from Kansas, didn't know the street address of the children's hospital.

I told her that Dominos would be hearing from me.

After an email, from corporate, telling me that they would contact that local Dominos, I got an email from the manager of that particular Dominos. He told me that he'd give that family a free meal.

I was so happy to pass that info on to the little girl's mother!

Their story just touched me. Her daughters remind me so much of my granddaughters.

The family is staying in the Ronald McDonald house in Atlanta.

    That's enough ...lol..

Hot and humid here as well but after all it is mid-summer and the last 2 weeks of July and the first 2 weeks of august is traditionally the hottest stretch of the year.

I agree, and could have posted that every day for the last 6 weeks.....
don't think there has been a day below 90 for the last 6 weeks, and we aren't even into the hot part of summer here yet.

Buddy will go to the door to go out back, I let him out and within 5 minutes he wants back to the air conditioning and tile floors.
He has already mapped out all the spots in the house that get a breeze from the AC.

Actually, she kind of sounds like me, but opposite. While she is kind of in your face... I tend to run away both literally and figuratively. Sometimes it gets to be too much with people, to the point my insecurities start messing with me. And after a certain point... I'm done. I have this desire to disappear. And I normally do. People have accused me of "ghosting". So, I guess I do that. But, I do give them notice. I don't just leave. Point is, I think I know where she is coming from. It's hard to deal with insecurities. You either run away from them like me or you allow them to spiral you out of control like your ex girlfriend.

Spicer resigned? Good for him and his sanity. Translating Trump's nonsense and being his buffer was going to kill him.

    Plus, more Sarah Huckabee Sanders...

People at work are bringing in the excess vegetables from their gardens and giving them away. I got 4 lbs. of tomatoes from my boss. Gonna try to score some squash and cucumbers next week.

Any further? You didn't explain it at all. I saw something on the news, reacted to it, shared my reaction as a two sentence rant in a thread full of such reactions called "What's Happening" and I get a reprimand from a mod.

Why didn't you tell Dice that the post below mine belongs in the gardening forum? I don't know what your deal is, but I feel like you have a problem with me specifically. What gives, homegirl?

Sometimes we all need a breath of fresh air away from the dreary world of politics.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy staying in tune with the world, and engaging with intellectual dialog, but there's a time and a place for it.
