What's Happening?

My cats have gotten really bad about wanting to be "the one" to lay on my desk. At any given time I have at least two, sometimes up to four, cats trying to get between me and the monitor.

I'm going to have to get my squirt bottle out.

 

Do I mind talking to myself? Not really; it's either that or the cats.

I made a file box with menu ideas and made a weekly menu board in my kitchen. I should have done this eons ago.

 

Last year at this time we were in extreme drought, now we’ve got so much rain the streams and rivers are overflowing

Right now, my recipes are in a one foot by two foot, and one foot high storage box. It is my bedroom fan support!

After rushing the move away from hell nearly five years ago, this is where I have collected them.

Really should take a week and make a real recipe book using Word. Thanks for the reminder! My menu will get much more selections. Ha

The starting games of the softball tournaments were delayed this morning so that the ground could dry out.


Basically, in the case of the triplets' schedule, that just took out a 4 hour gap between the start of the first game and the start of the second game.


They will play much better because of that.

It's sunny, very breezy, and the high will be upper 60's today. :sunny:

 

The girls didn't make it to the championship game. The team that put them out was good competition. One of our coaches went stupid and put in the worst pitcher we have at the beginning of that game. The other team scored 9 points before we changed pitchers. You can't recover from that. Our girls played great but the other team had hotter bats.

I was glad to get out of there early and I was happy that the triplets would have some down time tonight.

Wrong. They left their tournament and went to the older sister's tournament. There's no telling when they'll all be home from that one.

 

I never look at my spam email folder but I found some really funny ones in there trying to get a response out of me.

I got gum surgery last week, and although it really hasn't been too painful--I can't wait to eat normally again.

 

When I was at my moms a few days ago, I was going through a few boxes with my stuff, and I found my old golf balls.
I have a few pink ones too.

Making a mobius (infinity) scarf would work if the fabric is exactly the same on both sides, otherwise when you are wearing it you would see some of the wrong side of the fabric. If the fabric is the same on both sides it would be easy to make a long scarf with lace along both edges and then, when sewing the bottom together just switch one side before sewing.

I got behind on dishes this weekend. I'll wash those and then get hubby in here to cook the steaks. He asked to do it.

 

Its suday so had the morning off to sleep in till 6am. Woke up, fed all the animals, let the dog out, cleaned the house, searched the web, listening to music, made BBQ Meatloaf with baked potatoes, went to work, came home, sitting around searching the web again, and will be off to bed at somepoint. So, all in all boring day, should get me a hobby for sundays.

I'm upgrading the air filter in my old car. Quite stoked about it. For too long it had a crappy air filter that I didn't realize was broken. Had to clean out and rebuild the carburetor twice in the last few years. I didn't realize it was just running unfiltered dusty air through it the whole time. Did you know that back in the 50s and 60s they had air filters that you had to fill up with motor oil in order to filter the air properly? What a mess they are to clean out! Motor oil everywhere! I'm getting a modern dry filter for it, and I had to design a bracket to hold it in place.

 

my friend that is getting a divorce is fighting over custody of the kids, he also only has one ball.
he has one girl and a boy and girl twins.
when she said he cant see them he told her he made them with his ball, thats right he said...three kids with one ball. "i have a powerball".
