Home delivery groceries are good but fristrating in ways with the substitution. Now I never see a big chain supermarket shop ever run out of items but always there's "not available" products that they will "substitute" with something else.

Like this shop in particular we will note.

Ordered: 1 tub caramel swirl ice cream.
Substituted: NOT AVAILABLE vanilla ice cream.

Now. Wouldn't you think with my particular order of the caramel swirl, was that I was ON PURPOSE TRYING TO STAY AWAY FROM BORING VANILLA IN THE FIRST PLACE! :cuss:

So. I now find myself with a tub of vanilla I cream which surprise, surprise, I haven't eaten any at all yet. =|

I tried the "deliver me my groceries" thing with our Vons supermarket chain. I remember not liking the delivery service very much and thinking that it was expensive. This was back in 2011 or something. I don't know why I thought that would be a good idea...

Ice cream: Halo Top Ice Cream is soo cool. They have the number of 'calories per pint' advertised on the side of each pint of ice cream. That is so they boast low calorie content. Most of the flavors I've encountered were like 240 per pint, 300 per pint, or along those lines. Usually, like Ben & Jerry's or Talenti or whatever kind of ice cream you would buy by the pint, The calories are so astronomical that they are stated as per serving, while the container holds like 4 servings or something ridiculous like that. That's not very much ice cream a serving. For me a serving is more than one scoop! lol. :)

Anyway you gotta try this ice cream. https://www.halotop.com/where-to-buy/?gclid=CJu0ppqXqtMCFRJqfgodQ94Fkg I don't know where all they are selling it but I buy it from Wal Mart, which is a US grocery store. They cost around the same as other pint size ice creams, which means like $4.28 or something.. anyway I'm rambling.

Do you grow eggplant in your backyard garden? Over the years I’ve found it to be the easiest thing in the world to grow

    Montezuma's revenge and eggplant

    haha

idk. I had re-introduced it awhile ago. My mother-in-law ( ;) ) makes a great eggplant curry. And it was alright, but those nightshades vegetables, especially eggplant, had needed to be regulated for awhile. I'm sure it was everything else going wrong with me, but yeah, this didn't help.

and i used to love eggplant parm too! (i don't really eat cheeses either though now-yep yep, strict as heck diet!...when I'm not cheating...which has been awhile and surprise surprise, I'm feeling fat...although, I haven't really gained yet, that I know of :p)

^oi! thank God for edits!! that's a mess of thoughts there! :p (but I'm too lazy to fix it hehe)

    Fried anything is the worst.
    Frying just ruins food, imo.

Mom had a garden one time. Half the stuff didn't grow. Half that did never got to produce fruit. The rest never grew big enough to make it worth picking. Mom said she gives up.
2 weeks later I walk by it and see a giant eggplant hidden in the back of the garden.
Told mom and she said she didn't want it.

I'm a little concerned about our garden. Devil thinks he's a master gardener or something. I've seen him have more fails than successes.

I seem to have a little bit of a green thumb without really trying much.

My kids are pretty sure they found their first cousins.

My kids' dad was adopted in Germany and they found another man who had the same birth mother. His kids are on facebook but he died in 2013 before finding my kids' dad, or either of their other two brothers.

The birth mother had 4 sons and adopted them all out.

    ------------------------------------

so, i was utterly distracted yesterday and forgot but...one year folks!
ah, i'm picture shy and I couldn't find an appropriate thread to hide in on the Dreadlocks section, so I'm sharing this here. (maybe i'll find a place later. it's 5:30am :p)

...and i just counted like 19 actual real natural ("natural" with rubbing) forming dreads with a few more on the way (half set). Exciting, I think!
