Is this a gay marriage? I can't figure how else the bible comes into a controversy with marriage.

Yes. My daughter is marrying a female in October.

Her "bff" let her pay lots of money to do everything a maid of honor should do for you...and then some.

Now, that it's my daughter's wedding, this "bff" can't make herself available for her duties as my daughter's matron of honor.

Finally, last night, my daughter's fiance asked her if she was going to be able to perform or if she needed to step down. All under the guise of the "bff" is expecting a baby in February and says she will be busy.

The "bff" ended up telling my daughter's fiance a bunch of crap that ended in "I don't believe she's really Gay. She's marrying you out of convenience".

My poor daughter still hopes she will "come around".

    Thank you very much, Pen.

We've been through this before with the "bff"; her disapproving of my daughter's lifestyle choice.

I thought it was over and all mended up when she chose my daughter to be her maid of honor.

    It makes me sick.

Another of my daughter's life long friends is expecting her baby any time now.

She has Kidney Disease and has been a high risk pregnancy. Her baby daddy hasn't been involved from the beginning. Her mother is ill and her sister won't have anything to do with helping her.

She's chosen my daughter as the one to be in the operating room when she has the c-section birth of a baby that may have Down Syndrome or other problems. He also may have nothing wrong with him.

The mother is at extreme risk and she's going to sign a Living Will/Advance Health Care Directive to give my daughter the job of making all decisions for her and the baby if she becomes unable to do that herself.

It's an honor and it's scary.

My daughter is dealing with some stuff right now.

I think it will be ok.
Reminds me a bit of my sisters best friend. She has MS and could have lived normal for a while with the right medication. She wanted a baby but couldn't have a baby with that medication. So she had to choose between a baby and an exeleleration of her disease. She went with the baby. He is about 18 now and takes care of her quite a bit. I ponder if that is a fair burden to put on someone but it is what it is now.

This girl took a real gamble getting pregnant but all she wanted was another child because her in laws took her first son away from her.

I been accused of being gay for the money $$$$. Almost the same story, it's just convenient for her because of the $$$$.

Mind you I've only heard this from rumor passing. If it has been said it was never said to my face.

I could make a lot of money from selling stories that were rumored about me lol how I chase women with money and all these little side remarks. I think I'd hit the best seller shelves.

Why can't people take responsibility for their own shit and just let everyone else live happy?

After all the shitty things I have thought about and been shown about today, this has brought the smile back to my face.

This is what a life should be.

It starts slow but will surprise you. :D

Your daughter must be a really great and understanding person to even put up with such a judgemental friend. Have they been friends a really long time?

I'm just using Mels quote to quote with Aeri too.

The friend sounds jealous IMO. I think it's extremely common for people to become jealous. I don't know if it's a generational thing or not, i can't ever remembering my parents or and older friends speak of jealousy, but that generation grew up very similar. They worked hard, had families, struggled with the bills whereas my generation and younger don't really have those priorities. A lot of us are uninterested in kids. We travel. We party. We do things that we've wanted to etc.

There's a lot to be jealous about in there. I see it like, well if someone is living well and happy and their friends isn't then there can be a lot of jealousy. For the record the only time I ever get jealous is when people have travelled to a county or seen a place that I haven't and that's jealousy I don't let effect me because one day I'll get there or it's really not that hard to do etc.

I'm sure a lot of us here do use a social network? Have you ever experienced posting something you're doing and you post it because of one or two people. You want their response and reaction. You want their likes. You posted it for them. They're the ones that don't say anything about it and you know they've seen it. I experienced a lot of that in America. Coming to America and doing what I did was an absolute dream come true and EVERYONE that matters on my Facebook knows it and knew it and all I wanted for one or two people to say "hey awesome! You've talked about this all your life" and I got none of it. It's sheer jealousy. They see you having fun and they want nothing to do with it. And then they ask "so what did you get up to" like fuck off you didn't see my posts you're online 17hrs a day.

Aeri, I don't know this BFF but I'm going to make a quick judgement call and say she's single?

Sliders was a great show, i've been meaning to rewatch it. I think i saw it on hulu.

Irm, i agree with you about the jealousy. Especially since it sounds like this girl may be confined by her religion and maybe has always felt like she cant do or be x or y because it wouldnt fit in with her religion..and aeri's daughter is happy and living her life the way she wants.

The last 2 times I got cold symptoms was both after I went to the local bar and got food. Might have been more than that but I don't go there as much as i used to so it stood out a bit more these last 2 times.

Throat is dry no matter how much I drink.
