I feel the opposite of that and I'm hating this weather. For me, a bright new start needs a bright new day!

I used to be that way, i loved sun and summer but for some reason a few years ago something changed and now I love overcast days and winter is my favorite season. I think i just got tired of the oppressive hea t and humidity

My New Years Day tradition is to take a long walk, I was in heaven walking in the drizzle today

lol, I bitched all the way back and forth to the car because it was drizzling when I went to the store.

Summer and Spring rain I don't mind that much.

Reminds me of my grandmother. She loved to decorate for the holidays, especially Christmastime.

There is something great about slow progression of the seasons, hm? I can see it providing some comfort for the mildly depressed. Things change, they improve.

The winter doldrums are real, especially around here. I live in New England the winters are punishing. I envy those of you in warmer worlds.

I think those who have depression need something to keep them moving foreward; and anything you can do to bring a little cheer never hurts anyone.

I honestly never want to live an inch further North than I do.

I could go for somewhere less humid and/or somewhere with a beach!

    I'm on desktop.

I also can't see them when my friend sends them to my old flip phone.

It shows the same thing that I see here = the outline of a square shape.

orison, i see the faces and i'm on desktop.

nobody even puts up christmas lights anymore. everyone just puts up that spotlight that puts the moving measles spots all over the front of their house. i think my college roommate had something like that in our trippy apartment bedroom, but i can't see how it's supposed to be a holiday decoration.

It's kind of lazy but if that's all you can do then I guess it's alright looking.

My daughter's future in-laws had that on the tall part of their house; the porch had those great big, beautiful, old bulbs.

I can see when people use the iPhone emoji emoticons but if I use them off my phone I don't think others can see unless they're on the phone or something that has those emoticons installed, like the enojifree app. :)

I envy you, i would love to experience a real winter. I'm not sure if I could put up with a lifetime of it but I would love to do a temporary move to a cold climate for a couple of years

People don't dig the beauty in undergoing any deprivation anymore it seems! And that while we are now in the ultimate time to do so (with all the luxury and techniques available to us). I love a punishing winter! It only lasts a few months max! And when it feels not nice anymore you go inside enjoy the warm room and some hot coco.
