A terrible triple homicide/quadruple shooting happened in our county last night. A bunch of young adults partying while one of them was house sitting for her grandparents. She's the one clinging to life tonight while her 3 friends are dead and 5 other young people are in jail.

I know her. She worked for the vet that did Piper's and Mabon's surgeries.

They released more about the ones who died. Two males and a female. All 19 or 20 years old.

Lots of those 9 people are friends of friends on facebook.

I hope I don't know the kids that died.

The best way to deal with moles is a cat.

My cat used to hunt them down and deliver them DOA to the backdoor of the house in various stages of predation

Sadly incidents like this are so common these days they don’t get past the local news. If you hadn’t posted the link I probably wouldn’t have heard of this triple-homicide.

    I know they don't.

Our county count for "mass shootings" is 13, this year.

I still don't think that guns kill people, though.

    People kill people.

its raining and i voted a week ago tomorrow.
i like the rain. it chaises away the annoying people.
i wish the election was over so we can know

i hope people aren't as dumb as they were in 1980.
    that enough aren't.

i see people collecting campaign posters.
(big ones with names i can't even imagine why they would want)
i suppose some day they may want souvenirs.
    then again, they might not.

saw one getting on the bus i was on yesterday.
couple of weeks ago, i saw someone working at a restaurant had one.

sorry for mentioning things i wish i could forget myself.
at least i don't have to live with anyone who insists on watching the crap on tv.

Yeah, it’s been raining here as well the past couple of days but a really cold rain with temps in the 40s. and wind-chills in the 30s.
Just west of here they had a measurable amount of snow.

The triplets had their birthday party today. They turn 10 years old tomorrow.

My grandson is in the pic, too. The only one missing is my oldest granddaughter.

(The photo bomb is one of their twin cousins).

I'm sad to learn that the 4th victim of the murders in our county died this morning.

She is the one I knew. She was assistant to the vet that Piper and Mabon use.

The media doesn't know it yet so her family has a little time without that today.

Got tripped at the beginning of our second game. Bruised my wrist and several scrapes. Got more injuries in that one play than in all the other games combines so far this season.

Wrist is hurting more as time goes by. This makes me not happy. No pain killers besides ibuprofen either.

It's laundry day and I say fuck that. I'm in too much pain.

A pitcher on my 14 yr old's team, made a bad step off the mound last weekend. She tore ligaments in her foot so badly that she had to have a cast. She's out the rest of this season.

I'll put my pic back up for a little while. Some of my friends here might not have seen it.

I hope the young one heals fast, and isn't in a lot of pain.

    Nice pic Aeri!

So Night of the thin veil and a dark moon last night... I finished shaping the Viking Sword. A real combat ready Viking Sword...

Started life as a stage combat sword, which is very thick and heavy with rounded tip. Most swords are too long anyways so I cut off the tip to a proper shape and took a lot of metal off the thickness of the blade without disrupting the fuller. Lost about 3/4 of a pound of metal in the process... It's still a little heavy but it's good and strong... with a proper flex. If guard and pommel were brass it would be perfect. It's a peened steel pommel though, so not easily changed.

Brass would also allow for carving the runes...
