That is not the problem. i would know exactly what to do, if it was just me....but I am hanging onto things for my brother, if he ever gets out of his apt in the city and gets married and sets up house. He will need things from my mom, which is why she hung onto to so many things.......Now, i get to be caretaker.
i asked my brother what should I do with mom's 40 pair of designer shoes she hardly ever wore, and are size 5.5.....she was a small woman.....and I am size 8 shoe....Should I keep them, too, and he told me to keep some of them, so if I cannot even get rid of those without his permission............

i did wind up giivng my neighbor some of the shoes. She is the same size foot as my mom a month ago, as I am getting to the point...that is it, on some of the things here...lol

I'm telling you, I've seen articles out there that even tell you how to deal with these family member issues. You shouldn't be the one everything got dumped on. Make him take responsibility for sorting through it and weeding it out. Have him commit to storing what he wants.

Things like her shoes...You should each choose one pair if they are sentimental to you. There's no need to hoard that collection.

It has been a slow process all night playing musical dishes.......I go through cabinets of my dishes, and take out what i don't really need, use or really want to pack away and never see again....lol, and takes things from boxes I do really like.....so it is fun ina way tonight.

i sure change from year to year with what I like. i cannot believe I saved some things in the canbinets i did save at the time.

Yeah, it can be...other times, it is sad, as i remember eating out of certain dishes at my mom's that she always had.......but this part of things is not as hard as other things can be...like her clothes, and stuff that are more personal.......I was never into dishes that much, so i never really paid attention to much about them before...but lately, I seem to understand them better and have developed my own taste for some things.... :)

I am having revelations, about the person my mother was, more and more often lately. I find that they have been triggered by handling some of her things that I've had around for years but somehow now seems to be a time of understanding her.

Get the good landscape cloth, plastic weave not fabric. That fabric stuff doesn't work too well weeds just poke up through it.

I finally got all my stone dust moved and spread under my shed...16,000 pounds in about a week by wheel barrel...that was fun.

Went to a wedding reception last night. The DJ played Stairway to Heaven first and then it went downhill fast. All that rap stuff, I guess it was rap anyway, no slow songs at all and it was so loud I had a hard time talking to my wife and she was sitting beside me. We had to shout and put our heads together.

We were going to make a request from our era but figured no one would know who Rudy Vallee was.

When I was at a wedding two weeks ago and the D.J. started with "The Electric Slide" I wanted to tear somebody's hair out.

I was sleeping so soundly at 8:00 this morning when suddenly I hear "Maaaaah!"

Can anybody guess what that was about?

Got the backyard mowed, trimmed, and cleaned up... Damned grass was tall. It wasn't tall two days ago.

sunday is a day when very little happens unless there's a convention going on, because buses run once an hour, those that run on sunday at all.
i blame "christians" and the dominance of their aggressiveness for that.
(yes i know islamist and jews would be the same thing, just a different day,
but i do believe everyone should have two consecutive days off they can count on in advance every week,
just not everyone having to have the same two days as everyone else, nor work the same hours either)
but i thank god for atm's and the internet,
and of course my own two feet and active imagination.

i don't understand people wanting lawns or swimming pools either.
gardens or natural vegitation yes, but lawns or swimming pools?
    just why?
or why people want large "living" rooms
(which are useless for anything besides inviting a lot of people over to get drunk and watch television) or "master" bedrooms.
play rooms for the kids i can understand, and a den for library and home office, that i can understand,
and a workshop space for power tools and to make things.
these kind of rooms i can understand, but why do building codes require us waste such huge amounts of space.

of course i live in one little tiny room with a bathroom and a kind of kitchen nook in one corner,
and i'd love to have more or another room for storage and work space, and a model railroad.

and no neighbors on the other side of any wall.
i'm lucky for the quiet though, and the proximity of buss stops.

and if i couldn't at least have those two things,
no amount of spending more for a "nicer" place would be worth it to me,
even if i didn't have to use credit to have a credit rating to move into one.
(which i seriously have no wish to do)

It was about me finally getting this goat that my son's been threatening promising to bring to my yard.

It was doing good until it got under the fence and my granddaughters chased it right up to Emma.

She tried to eat it but she was at the end of her chain so it got up and ran back into the fence the same way it broke out.

I cooked lots of stuff today and captured lots of kittens.

Have a fire in the fire pit tonight... Burned the handle out of a broken spade (shovel) earlier.

Good full moon activity. (it was raining last night, so canceled)

It didn't work out for me to have a fire in the fire pit last night so I just took a white pillar candle outside and did my moon thing.

The rabbits that my former husband gave the girls, have turned out to be Lionhead Rabbits. I'll have to make some pics of them.
