it sort of amuses me in a way, amidst how needlessly tragic it is, to see people kicking their own ass, because they think they're so big a deal themselves, or their 'side' is, that nothing else matters. america has 4% of the world's population and 25% of its corona virus cases. and all because of how smart and wise we are and everyone should follow our example. not. and of course seeing the popularity fall, of he who i'd don't like to name because he gets too much press coverage as it is. i don't think its funny that people die in floods, but its not like its not predictable where the water is going to go when the creek rises, and yet people buy houses right in its path, and allow contractors to build them more, and then subsidize them to build more right back in the same wrong places after it washes them away. and then people try to blame everything else except a pseudo-conventionality that hates logic, and wonder why, and its really not rocket science. and i see all the weather damage, and the building codes that actually require people to build house in the ways that are most vulnerable to them because that's how people are used to seeing and building them. i mean when there have been for thousands of years indiginous ways of construction, that in each place were learned from the conditions in that place how to deal with them. you know, but the building codes won't let people build according to this kind of logic and common sense, because they want their neighbors to all have to live in the kinds of houses that are what they have in their mind a house should look like. so forgive me for having a problem with humor, though i do still find things funny. odd things. that people might not understand why i do, that i can't even really think of examples of, that i would expect anyone to see what i was talking about. i don't mean we should all have to be all the time completely serious, just not dismiss consideration and logical thought for the sake of humor.
